Meet Dee (also known as Daisy) Dee is ready to meet her best friend! She is a loyal companion, who is looking for a family that will support her hobbies; napping, walks, looking out the window, and watching you cook! She is an all around great pup, who just wants your love and attention.  Dee would do best in a home where her people are home often, and can be with her. She is crate trained, potty trained, and walks well on a leash. She currently lives with a indoor rabbit, and does very well respecting his space whild also remaining curious. We know she's lived with dogs before, but she'd also be just as happy as your only pup. Come meet Dee!  ##2659993##

Story
Hi there, I'm Nadine, a sweet and teeny-tiny (8lbs) little chihuahua girl who's looking for a forever home. If you're looking for a pint-sized pup who wants to spend every moment together-- I'm your girl! I'm dreaming of an adopter who will give me all of the companionship, bedtime snuggles, and attention that I deserve! I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project from a high-kill shelter where I was dumped after being hit by a car. Once Beagle Freedom Project heard my story, they knew they had to save me! Since being taken in by BFP, I’ve undergone a major surgery to repair my broken pelvis and knees, and I’ve recovered beautifully! I’m so happy to get to run again (sometimes I even like to break into a sprint!!). Now, I’ve been learning what it's like to be loved for the first time. I'm a total doll who bonds deeply with the people close to me, and I also like to enjoy my independence, too! Sometimes, I can even be pretty cat-like; spending my time on my own terms, but then always coming back to you for love and attention when I’m in the mood! I don't particularly adore other animals (I'm tiny and non-threatening, but I just like to have my own space from dogs and cats-- probably because I think I'm a human!!), so I'll do best in a home where I can be the apple of my adopter's eye. I'm still adjusting to this new life that I've fallen into-- one where people actually love me and take care of me-- so I can get anxious at times, because I'm so scared of being left behind. Could you be the person who shows me that I'll always be safe now? I'm I'm only 2 years old, and I have a whole lot of life to look forward to-- I hope I get to spend it with an adopter who will cherish me... could that be with you? 🏡 My Home’s Requirements: I'll thrive as the only dog in my furever home! 📍 My Location: LOS ANGELES, CA Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed above! Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter can travel to the animal’s current location for pickup. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ For questions, email the Beagle Freedom Project team at: adopt@bfp.org About Beagle Freedom Project: Beagle Freedom Project is the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research. Story
Meet Orie! This 10 pound package of cuteness needs a special  home   He is shy and needs time to build a bond and warm up.  He would do best in an adult only home. He enjoys walks and calm, relaxed evenings.  Orie has met dogs through baby gates and has done well, but slow intros and planned integration into a home with dogs is a must ❤️. He is pee pad trained and utilizes a crate, but he prefers to be out. He is startled by storms and will need your comfort. If you are looking to help a small, but work-in-progress, guy then head to www.ccrcdogs.com to fill out an application!   We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. March 26, 2026, 8:01 pm

Story
Max is an 11-year-old terrier with a gentle soul and a story that has shaped his tender heart. After losing his beloved owner, Max is understandably a bit timid—he’s been through a lot and is still learning to feel safe again in a world that suddenly changed. Despite his shyness, there’s something incredibly special about Max. He forms deep bonds and, once he trusts you, his quiet loyalty and love are truly unforgettable. He misses the comfort of his old life, but with patience and kindness, he’s ready to open his heart again. Max is looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can settle in at his own pace. He needs someone who understands that love sometimes takes time—but is so worth the wait. With the right person, Max will blossom, and the moment you see him relax and feel safe, your heart will absolutely melt. Give him that chance, and you won’t just be giving him a home—you’ll be gaining a best friend forever. We do not have a facility for you to visit. Story
Meet Walt! This 3-year-old, 20-pound chihuahua is a gentle and thoughtful boy looking for a calm, patient home where he can truly blossom! Walt is currently enjoying some much-needed time in a fabulous foster home with an awesome trainer! His foster dad is helping him to become the confident, capable boy we all know he can be! Walt may be a little shy when you first meet him, but don’t let that fool you — once he feels safe, he is incredibly sweet, loyal, and deeply capable of forming strong bonds with “his” people. Walt is currently enjoying daily structured walks, which he absolutely loves. These walks have helped him build confidence, learn that “leash = follow,” and strengthen his trust in his handler. He walks nicely, stays engaged, and is clearly gaining comfort in the world one step at a time. In the home, Walt is both house-trained and crate-trained! He does wonderfully with other dogs and is respectful of cats. He tends to be more curious about other animals than people at first, and having a calm, balanced dog in his future home would likely help him continue to gain confidence (though it is not required). Walt prefers to observe, think, and approach at his own pace. He sleeps quietly through the night. Walt is still learning that human hands, leashes, and food bowls are safe, so he appreciates slow movements, calm energy, and gentle guidance. With consistency and patience, he is making beautiful progress. When given space and time, Walt will approach for affection and is clearly beginning to enjoy gentle love and connection. Ideal Home for Walt: ● A patient, calm adopter who values structure and routine ● A quieter household (ages 16+) ● Daily walks and predictable boundaries ● Someone willing to let Walt warm up on his own terms ● Optional: another calm, well-balanced dog Walt is searching for the right person who understands him. In return, he will offer quiet companionship, loyalty, and a truly special bond. If you’re looking for a sensitive, thoughtful, and deeply rewarding dog, Walt might just be your perfect match. Walt's amazing foster dad/trainer has put together some helpful training suggestions along with a guide on how to help him acclimate to his new home. If you'd like to be the one to show him just how good life can be, head to greatlakesdogrescue.com and submit your application for our wonderful Walt!
