Story
Olaf, the chocolate Chihuahua, is about 4.5 years old and looking for the perfect, quiet home with someone who is familiar with anxious and fearfully reactive dogs. He would do best in a home with no children, and not a lot of visitors. Cats are a no go for Olaf as are most other dogs. He would be ok with one small, submissive, low-key doggie friend as he likes to play occasionally, but he isn't very good at normal dog play. We lovingly think of Olaf's personality as a cat trapped in a dog's body. Olaf takes a daily anxiety medication to help him feel safe in his everyday environment. Olaf will need an understanding and patient person that will allow him space and decompression time when he gets overstimulated. Olaf is crate trained and for the most part potty trained. However, like any small dog he isn’t a fan of going outside in the rain or cold. He walks wonderfully on leash as long as no off leash dogs approach him, and he also loves to travel in the car. He does like affection on his own terms and will let you know when he no longer wants attention. Olaf's perfect home will need to be willing to give him time and show him patience as he is settling in to your lifestyle, they must also be willing to continue working on training to ensure he lives a happy and safe life. Most importantly Olaf will need a person that is NOT expecting a snuggly lap dog. While he will occasionally snuggle and sit on your lap, it will only happen when he chooses it. His perfect person would be looking for a tiny, quirky shadow that is content with his mere presence as companionship. Olaf is spay/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, heartworm tested and on prevention. Adoption fee for Olaf is $350. If you are interested in adopting Olaf, please fill out an adoption application http://www.furgetusnotrescue.org/application.html .

Age: 2 years Weight: 14lbs Good with dogs? no Good with cats? no Good with kids? Older Energy Level: Moderate-High Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Silky. Silky, with her pristine white fur and eyes that shimmer like morning dew, is a delicate little soul. She has the sweetest disposition and the cutest ears you've ever seen! Her initial shyness is like a soft veil, but once she knows you, her true sweetness shines through. Silky dreams of finding a forever family—a place where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. Silky can be shy when meeting new people or in new environments and she likes to just sit back and observe at first. Silky’s initial shyness is her way of protecting her tender heart. She might take a step back at first, but with patience, she’ll come forward with gentle curiosity. Once Silky knows she’s safe, her true nature blossoms and she's as sweet and silk. She’ll nuzzle your hand, offer gentle kisses, and curl up beside you, her heart full of love. Silky enjoys the simple pleasures of life—a cozy bed, a warm lap, tasty treats, and the soft murmur of kind words. Her presence is a soothing balm. Her ideal home would a a calm and quiet home where she can feel secure. A patient family who understands her shyness and provides gentle encouragement would be her perfect match. Story
Frito was a wonderful addition to our family, loves snuggles, and walks. A perky girl. We unfortunately have moved too many times and have to move again and it’s not a healthy situation for her anymore. Our family got much bigger and house smaller and after a lot of effort she is just not happy with what is her home. We want her to have a happy lifestyle that is quieter than ours. She loves protecting her owner and has never bitten or lashed out aggressively. She loves toys and whips cream for a treat.
