Story
Blueberry is the sweetest little girl I’ve met in a long time, and she’s completely stolen my heart. I’d adopt her myself if I weren’t away at work more than I’m home, but she deserves more time and attention than I can give. It’s heartbreaking, but her needs come first. I know there’s a perfect home out there for Miss Blueberry—one without small kids or large animals, and with someone who can meet her every precious need. She’s truly special: cuddly, full of kisses, and thrives on attention. She loves dressing up, has a wardrobe of fuzzy sweaters, and even wears her pearl doggy necklaces. Blueberry is a once-in-a-lifetime girl—spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and tested for heartworm and tick-borne illnesses. She’s healthy, loving, and won’t just go to the first applicant. She’ll be pampered until the perfect family comes along. She’s still working on potty training, using piddle pads and walking on a leash. Her adoption fee is higher, so please email with questions before applying. Details are on our adoption fee page, where some breeds require a higher fee to help others in need. She’s worth every penny, and I wouldn’t ask more than I’d pay myself for such a special girl. She thinks she is the size of a St. Bernard and will pick fights out of other dogs. Story
Molly is an 11-year-old Chihuahua with a very simple philosophy:we are not best friends yet… please act accordingly. She’s not loud about it. She’s not dramatic. She’s just… very clear.Move too fast? Hard pass.Reach in uninvited? Absolutely not.And if she’s unsure about you? You’ll get the look. The stink eye. Message received.Molly’s world has been turned upside down. After losing her owner, she spent the past year with family, and now she’s here starting over again. That’s a lot for a little dog, so she’s taking her time deciding who makes the cut. She’s lived with other small dogs and cats (though she may give the cats a little reminder that she’s there), and she’s been around kids—but Molly is looking for a quiet, adult-only home where life is calm and predictable. Now here’s the part that matters…Molly has chosen exactly two people here—Leland and Teresa. And yes, that Teresa (the one who stayed overnight during the blizzard). Molly absolutely adores her. We’re talking full-body wiggles, little hops, excitement, and even kisses. So don’t let the “not yet” fool you… it does become a “YES.”She’s just a “you’ll earn this” kind of girl. We’re told that in her previous home, Molly was a full-time cuddler—a blanket-loving, couch-potato marshmallow. And honestly? We believe it. That soft little side is still in there… she’s just saving it for the right person.Molly is looking for:• A quiet, adult-only home• Someone patient who respects her space• A person willing to let her come around on her own timeShe walks nicely on leash, is used to going in and out, and will use potty pads. She’s not crate trained and prefers to choose her own cozy spot (couch, bed, blanket—she has standards).Molly’s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by White’s Party Store in Marquette—meaning she is ready to go home at no cost to her adopter. Thank you, White’s Party Store, for helping Molly get her second chance. Molly may not be everyone’s dog… but if she picks you? You’ll get the wiggles, the kisses, and a very loyal little companion who loves deeply.
