Story
Empanada is known affectionately by her foster parents as "Chi-Chi". She is a sweet little 11lb chihuahua who loves her humans.
She loves to lay in bed with her humans but also loves to play with her toys. She is very much a protector of her human, typical fiercely loyal chihuahua. She would do best as an only pet or with a home without cats. She likes playing with dogs, but will assert dominance, so submissive dogs are preferred. She is good with children. She is working on perfecting her potty training. She is crate trained. Emmy is finishing up heartworm treatments in Lansing, MI and will need to restrict exercise until she is rechecked in the Spring. Emmy didn't have the easiest start to her life, but she is enjoying rescued life so much. She is the sweetest dog and would be a wonderful addition to your home!
She does better with women than men, so being adopted to a female is recommended. A home with a patient man who understands it will take time to trust would be considered.
