Good With Kids: No young kids Good With Other Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Unknown Housetrained: Workin’ on it Crate Trained: Yes Walks Nicely On A Leash: Yes Knows Basic Commands: Workin’ on it Energy Level (Couch Potato, Moderate or High): Moderate Special Needs: Physical Fence: Preferred Favorite Toy / Activity: Playing outdoors with dog pals. ARRIVAL STORY: Was relinquished by owner due to too many dogs in home. AGE / WEIGHT: 1.5 Yrs Old and 9lbs. PERSONALITY: Jake may be just 9 pounds, but inside that tiny frame is a heart waiting to blossom in the right hands. At about 1.5 years old, this sweet, soulful boy has already been through more than most pups ever should. Jake spent his early life in a home with too many dogs and not enough human love to go around. Despite that rough start, he’s learning every day what it feels like to be cherished — and he's ready to keep learning with you. In foster care, Jake has discovered the pure joy of playing tug with his dog pal Remi and the hilarious thrill of burying his favorite treasures in the yard. While he’s still working on a few basics like housetraining and commands, he’s already showing us his gentle, quiet spirit. You may never hear his unusual bark, but you’ll see his personality shine in the small moments: a tail wag in the yard, a happy trot beside his dog buddy, or a shy glance that slowly turns into trust. He’s a handsome mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Mini Schnauzer, Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, and a sprinkle of a few other breeds — a true one-of-a-kind companion! New Home: Jake is looking for a calm, patient home — ideally with a woman and another confident dog who can show him the ropes. He can be a little fearful, especially around men (he never really got to know them before), but he’s never shown any aggression. With time, understanding, and lots of love, Jake will reward you in ways only a dog who has truly learned to trust can. If you have experience with shy or unsocialized dogs, and your heart is open to watching a once-nervous little boy learn to feel safe, Jake will be your greatest joy. CONTACT: Please contact wtdr@waggintailsdogrescue.org with any questions or submit adoption application via our website www.waggintailsdogrescue.org/adoption-application. ADOPTION INFO: We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To meet a dog in person, please see our event calendar on our website for the date and time of the next adoption event. Arrangements can be made to meet a dog outside of adoption events after an application is submitted and approved. Our adoption process includes an application and in-home meet-n-greet with the dog. -Adult Dog Adoption Fee - $250 -Senior Dog Adoption Fee - $125 -Pup Adoption Fee - $250 plus $50 spay/neuter deposit refunded upon proof of surgery by 6 mos.

Story
Meet Orie! This 10 pound package of cuteness needs a special  home   He is shy and needs time to build a bond and warm up.  He would do best in an adult only home. He enjoys walks and calm, relaxed evenings.  Orie has met dogs through baby gates and has done well, but slow intros and planned integration into a home with dogs is a must ❤️. He is pee pad trained and utilizes a crate, but he prefers to be out. He is startled by storms and will need your comfort. If you are looking to help a small, but work-in-progress, guy then head to www.ccrcdogs.com to fill out an application!   We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. March 25, 2026, 6:50 pm

Story
Max is an 11-year-old terrier with a gentle soul and a story that has shaped his tender heart. After losing his beloved owner, Max is understandably a bit timid—he’s been through a lot and is still learning to feel safe again in a world that suddenly changed. Despite his shyness, there’s something incredibly special about Max. He forms deep bonds and, once he trusts you, his quiet loyalty and love are truly unforgettable. He misses the comfort of his old life, but with patience and kindness, he’s ready to open his heart again. Max is looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can settle in at his own pace. He needs someone who understands that love sometimes takes time—but is so worth the wait. With the right person, Max will blossom, and the moment you see him relax and feel safe, your heart will absolutely melt. Give him that chance, and you won’t just be giving him a home—you’ll be gaining a best friend forever. We do not have a facility for you to visit. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi, I’m Gabby! I’m a 14-year-old sweetheart who found myself back in foster care through no fault of my own. These days I’m embracing my golden girl era and living life at a slower, cozier pace. Most of my day is spent perfecting the art of napping and keeping a close eye on the treat supply. Toys? Not really my thing. I’d much rather find the comfiest spot in the house and snooze the afternoon away. I’m not a big cuddler, but I will happily waddle over for some gentle scratches and a little attention. As a distinguished older lady, I do have a few senior quirks. I have arthritis, Cushing’s, and my hearing isn’t what it used to be. If you need to get my attention, just give me a friendly wave in front of my face and I’ll be right with you. Because of my age, I do occasionally have accidents in the house, but I am mostly potty pad trained and do well when I have them available. I’ll just need a patient and understanding home that knows older pups sometimes need a little extra grace. All I’m really looking for is a soft place to nap, some tasty treats, and a kind human who appreciates the quiet charm of a sweet senior girl like me.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 25, 2026, 5:02 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tuesday!  This little cutie-pie is a 17-pound Chihuahua mix.  Tuesday is UTD on vaccines and already spayed.  She will be microchipped before going to her adoptive home. She is a spunky little pup that  loves to play fetch, bones that are bigger than she is, and kids; although she is skittish initially when meeting new people. She likes toys, taking naps, long walks, and sleeping in your bed! She is crate trained but only when left alone at home. She does not care to be left for long periods of time so would not be a good fit for someone who works all day. It is reported she does not like dog parks because it takes her a long time to warm up to other dogs. Tuesday may do best as an only dog, or possibly with another dog her size after slow and appropriate introductions. If you are looking for a little cuddle-bug, Tuesday may just be the one for you!     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The microchip is transferred to the adopter once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a one-time $15 microchip enrollment fee.  Microchips are enrolled with AKC Reunite.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
