Story
Say hello to Peter Cottontail! This friendly little guy is looking for his forever home! Peter came to us as a stray, and so we are unsure of his story before he came to us. Though we do know that he is the sweetest little guy! Peter enjoys going for walks with lots of stops for sniffing. He also enjoys treats. Peter is a senior, and so moves at a slower pace, but he still has energy in him! Do you think you are the right fit for Peter Cottontail? Come say hello today!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mia is the sweetest little lady you will ever meet. She’s around 10 years old and 10 ish pounds. Mia loves to pet and cuddle, she sleeps on the bed every night and snuggles with her foster mommy and other foster dog. She’s normally very quiet, I hardly know she’d around sometime.  Unless she’s outside and decides she wants to come in, she will bark and let you know when she wants inside.  She gets along perfectly with the other dogs in the home ranging in size from 8 lbs to 90 she doesn’t mind. She’ll follow you around to see what your doing, she doesn’t want to miss out on anything. She may be a bit older but she runs and acts like a youngster. She has to be one of the easiest, most perfect girls I’ve fostered. Let us know if you’d like to meet this darling girl.    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LAP WARMER ALERT!! Lucy, and her sister, Pixie, had a loving home…and then their mom passed away.  Their world has been turned upside down.  No one wanted them so they were going to be euthanized; how sad is that!   Both are sweet girls, but Lucy is the more outgoing of the two.  Lucy loves to be in your lap giving kisses.  Pixie is a bit more timid and needs a little time to warm up, but when she does she will be asking for pets and to be in your lap.  Lucy and Pixie do not need to be adopted together.  In fact, they may do better adopted separately so each can get the attention they need, plus Lucy tends to be a bit pushy with Pixie when it comes to getting attention or food. Both dogs are spayed and microchipped.  They will be seeing the vet soon for a health check and update on any needed vaccines.  They are pee-pad trained. They are both overweight and need to be on a healthy diet to help them lose weight.  Do you have an open lap for one of the sweeties?   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Oh by gosh by golly, it's time to meet little Molly!  Molly is a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix, possibly with Papillon.  She has the trademark feathered ears like a Papillon, with a unique brindle coat.  She is a little lady, about 6 pounds, and has a happy-go-lucky personality.  She settled into her foster home within a few hours.  She is truly a lap pet and will put her paws on you to let you know she wants your lap!  Molly is also an inquisitive pup.  She started exploring her foster home the minute her paws were on the floor.  She also enjoys exploring the outdoors. Molly was introduced to an older dog like herself and a puppy, 11 months old.  The puppy was too much for her because the puppy wanted to play, play, play.  Molly, being the mature lady that she is, found it all too much; so no active, in-your-face dogs for this little girl.  However, the senior dog was just her style, so Molly likely would do well with another canine companion that is laid back and not so active. We do not know anything about Molly's history, except she somehow ended up in a shelter in West Virginia.  Despite whatever her past may have been, she is a friendly, quiet dog that seems to be comfortable within a home environment so it is likely she was a house dog.  She appears potty trained, but will need retraining and consistency in this area as she adjusts to her adoptive home environment. Molly has had her initial vaccines and a heartworm test.  Her heartworm / lyme disease test was negative.  She will be visiting a vet soon for a health check, rabies vaccine and microchip.  She has an appointment for spay on Dec 11, 2024.     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Rocky is a 7-year-old Chihuahua.  He had a happy home and family, but suddenly and unexpectedly both his owners died leaving him without any family.  While searching for a placement for Rocky, he was left in the home alone, but someone would stop in to feed him.  To say his world has been turned upside down is an understatement. Rocky loves to play ball, and it is said that he can only have hard toys to play with.  He is kenneled at night and only uses pee pads for potty-time.  He does like to lay next to his person and looks forward to a couch to cuddle on with his new owner. Rocky will be having a check-up and receive any necessary vaccines.  He will also be microchipped.   Do you have room in your heart and home for Rocky?     Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
