Story
Meet Jojo, a lovable pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is affectionate, curious, and always ready to make you smile with his playful and sometimes goofy nature. Jojo is incredibly friendly and forms strong bonds with his people, making him a loyal companion who will happily stick by your side. He gets along great with other dogs and even cats, making him a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. Jojo also loves children of all ages and would thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of attention, playtime, and affection. Jojo enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring and taking in the world around him. While he is not fully potty trained yet, he is doing well with crate training and is on the right track with consistency and patience. Jojo is looking for a patient and committed adopter who is willing to help him learn proper house training. With consistency, guidance, and a loving environment, he has all the potential to develop great habits and become a well-mannered companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, fun-loving dog to grow with your family, Jojo might just be the perfect fit! Jojo is 1 1/2 years old, weighs 13 pounds, is up to date on all his vaccines and is neutered. Jojo tested positive for heartworms when he was first rescued however he has undergone treatment and is ready for adoption. We recommend Jojo be re-tested 6 months after treatment. Jojo is being fostered in WESLACO, TEXAS. His adoption fee of $500 will include his transportation cost to an approved adopter outside of Texas. Story
Piper was adopted and brought into a loving home. She is cuddly, loves sleeping under a blanket, loves food, walks, and bones. She can be with other dogs but she would prefer to be the only pet in the house. She can be around puppies and other dogs if they are friendly but does not like cats or young kids. She can be around older kids. She needs a fenced in yard. Her favorite thing is to sleep under blankets and she will even tuck her self in at night. She is potty trained. She can sit and give paw on command. Does great during bath time and will give you kisses. She is looking for a new home because she really doesn't like cats and the current home she's in has cats. So it isn't fair for her or the cats.

Story
Hi! My name is Seymour I’m a 6-month-old Chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs, and I’m a big fan of snuggles! I love being close to my people and enjoy spending time with my foster dog siblings. I also do well with children who are gentle with me. Cats? They confuse me a bit, but I don’t mind them at all.I’m looking for a home with a safe, fully fenced yard where I can play and explore. I also require lots of hugs and kisses—and I insist on sleeping under the covers in your bed. I’ll happily use a crate when you’re not home (I’m told it’s for my safety), but when you are home, I want to be right by your side.I love wearing cozy sweaters and fleece jackets and look pretty adorable in them, if I do say so myself. You may notice that I’m missing of one of my back feet. I was either born this way or had an injury when I was very young—but it doesn’t slow me down one bit! Sometimes I walk or run on three legs, and other times I use all four. The vets say it’s callused and causes me no discomfort. I run, jump, and climb stairs just like any other pup.If you’re searching for an energetic little snuggle bug, I might be your perfect match.Oh—and I almost forgot! I am fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.Could I be the one to complete your family? My adoption fee is $350.00. Please email us at projecthoperescue@gmail.com if you have questions about him.  If you would like to apply for Seymour, please visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.  March 9, 2026, 5:54 pm

Story
Gracie is a busy, energetic two year old little lady that was left in the unfortunate position of not having been socialized or properly trained. Her elderly owner passed away and left her very anxious and struggling with the change. She needs a calm, quiet environment, preferably with a female since she is very distrusting of males, and will need structure, exercise, and patience. Gracie is scared of cats and will bark and run at them, and she is sometimes territorial around our chihuahua so she would prefer to be the only pet. She is learning to get over her fears and can be very sweet around a favorite human but will need to continue extensive training before being able to be around others without barking. Potty training is coming along, and she would be amazing at agility or nose work and is great at puzzle toys and games. She absolutely loves to cuddle and burrow under blankets. Gracie is also crate trained and is doing well learning to walk on a leash.
