Story
Mick Jagger may not be rocking the stage, but he's ready to bring joy and companionship into your life! This tiny 6.5-pound Chihuahua is estimated to be 3-5 years old (possibly 7) and is waiting for a loving home where he can follow his humans around and shower them with unconditional love. Why Mick Jagger Will Steal Your Heart: Great with everyone: He's gentle and submissive, making him perfect with cats, dogs, and kids. Calm at home: Mick is a laid-back, observant companion who loves to nap and be by your side. He'll happily follow you around, watching your every move with adoration. Low maintenance: Not a chewer, not a big barker-just a sweet, curious boy who appreciates the simple pleasures of life. Special Notes:** Anxious in new surroundings: Mick can be a little shaky and nervous in unfamiliar places but never aggressive. Separation anxiety: He'll cry or whine when left alone, so he's ideal for someone who works from home or can spend plenty of time with him. Potty trained (mostly): He's learning post-neuter and does well with pee pads.

Story
Say hello to Pumpkin, a 1.5-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier mix weighing about 10-12 lbs. Pumpkin is a loving, social little girl who gets along well with cats, dogs, and kids-she hopes to become a companion for a family who can provide her with patience and affection as she settles into her new life. Here's a little more about her: Energy Level: Medium-she enjoys a good play session but also loves her snuggle time. Social Nature: Pumpkin is very social with new animals and people but can be timid in unfamiliar surroundings. She's most comfortable at home, where she'll happily curl up with you on the sofa-though she's not quite ready for cuddles yet. Training: She's potty trained and has good basic manners, though she's still learning leash skills. She loves plushy squeaky toys and is not a chewer. Separation Anxiety: She does experience some anxiety when left alone and will cry if she doesn't know where you are, so a home where someone is around a lot, works from home or with a secure routine would be ideal. Crate Training: She's not a fan of being confined but is comfortable in an enclosed space as long as the crate door is open. Pumpkin may be a bit shy in new situations, but with time and gentle care, she'll blossom into the loving companion you've been looking for! Could you be the one to give Pumpkin the forever home she deserves?

Story
I was taken from the big city shelter in the nick of time. I am cuddly, extroverted and curious. i will chase cats, but am fine with other dogs. I like them small so we can play. Very young children may be a bit too intense for my lifestyle. I do promise to be your best companion and "by your side" friend. NOTE: THIS DOG IS IN HOUSTON TEXAS AND TRANSPORTATION TO YOUR AREA WILL BE ARRANGED.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi everyone!  My name is Memo (pronounced Mee-Moe). I was found wandering the cold streets of Detroit and I really hope to find a nice comfortable home soon! I was really scared at first, but after a couple of days in my foster home, I was able to open up and start enjoying life. I have long legs, so I am really good at running. I love walks and exploring in the yard. I need slow introductions to other dogs and may be picky. I have ignored cats that I've met at adoption events but may like to chase. I am very sweet and affectionate, and I like to give kisses. I am vaccinated and neutered. I do have an issue with my eyes that will likely be lifelong. My eyes don't make tears so I will likely require eye drops lifelong, and several times a day. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. November 4, 2024, 7:53 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.LAP WARMER ALERT!!  Pixie, and her sister Lucy had a loving home…and then their mom passed away.  Their world has been turned upside down.  None of her kids wanted them so they were going to be euthanized; how sad is that!     Both are sweet, shy, & timid, Pixie is a bit timid at first, and needs a little time to warm up, but when she does she will be asking for pets and to be in your lap. Pixie is a door darter. And needs to be secured when opening doors.  Lucy and Pixie do not need to be adopted together.  They may do better adopted separately so each can get the attention they need.  Both dogs are spayed and microchipped and are current on everything including a health check up. They are pee-pad trained. They need to be on a healthy diet to help them stay a good weight.   Do you have an open lap for one of the sweeties?   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
