Brutus is a sweet 4-year-old male Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. He’s a shy boy who needs time to warm up, but once he does, he’s your loyal shadow, always by your side. Brutus loves snuggling under blankets, sleeping close to his person, and is also kennel-trained and potty-trained. Occasionally, he may mark when he smells another dog, but this has been managed easily with diapers. Brutus has some separation anxiety, especially after losing his longtime dog companion last year. He’s much calmer with another dog in the home and thrives in a loving, patient environment. He’s great with kids and currently lives with a 2-year-old and a nonverbal autistic 6-year-old. He loves cats and will warm up to other dogs with time. Brutus is a cuddle bug who just needs a home that will provide him with the companionship and love he craves.
