Elegant enough to wear pearls yet earthy enough to happily play with her 10-month-old foster sister, Ethel has plenty of spunk for her age—especially when it comes to playtime and making her opinions known with a good bark.   She’s a big fan of treat time and bedtime, kennels politely as long as she has her beloved blanket to burrow under, and is fully house trained with a doggie door. Ethel is the kind of dog you bring home to love on and snuggle endlessly. 🐱🐱Cat-friendly 🐱🐱 It’s that time of year: lap dog season! 🎉🎉 What’s the best way to celebrate? With your own personal lap dog, of course. And Angel is your guy. He is a 6-year-old, under-10-pound Chihuahua who loves to cuddle and likes belly rubs. And right there on your lap is where both of those things should take place, Angel thinks. Or, he can just do some good, old-fashioned snoozing. Maybe both of you can do that one…don’t worry, we won’t tell anyone if you do. The only thing Angel likes as much as being on your lap are TREATS. He is totally food-driven (us too, Angel!) and loves a treat, or even the potential of a treat – that bag-crinkling noise in the kitchen sure sounded promising. Better check it out! He listens really well when there’s a treat involved. He gets along well with people, other dogs, and even the kitty-cats. He’ll play with other dogs and have some fun. He likes to spend time outside too, and he walks well on a leash, so that’s the perfect combination. Work off your treats with a little movement, and then get back to that favorite chair. Angel knows he is expected to do his business outside, and he does just that. At night, Angel sleeps under the covers with his person. If you’re starting to think that Angel might be a little confused as to whether he’s a human or a dog, you’re not wrong, LOL. He is house trained and crate trained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He’s also current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Are you looking for a velcro dog (she will jump a childgate in order to be with her person) that is calm, cool, and collected? Winky is an 8 y/o Chi mix weighing about 10 lbs available for adoption with Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. She's a sweet, gentle girl with a soft, pleasant demeanor and she loves to be cuddled. Winky seems to be house/crate-trained and gets along with other dogs. Given Winky is missing an eye, she's probably visually impaired (but it doesn't allow her down). 😉 And she might have hearing impairment as well, or it's simply Chi Selective Hearing (yes, that's a thing 😉). Winky is not a fan of a crate and is vocal about it. As with most Chis, she's not a fan of cold weather and is quick to take care of potty business as long as you go outside with her. She likes to roll up like a burrito in a blanket and is not a fan of wearing clothes. Winky is a "plug-and-play" dog. Interested? Elvira is an 8 y/o Chi weighing about 10 lbs available for adoption with Pawsitive Tails Dog Rescue. She seems to be good with other calm dogs, house/crate-trained. Elvira would prefer a calm home without kids under 14yrs because she can be a little cranky if things don't go her way. Elvira has a heart murmur; it is not clinical at this time and she made it through mammory removal surgery as well as spay without issues. 😽😽Cat Friendly😽😽 One of the best things about being a senior is increased wisdom and an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. And nobody knows this better than Smokey, a 13-year-old Chihuahua who weighs 8 pounds. Smokey is house and kennel trained. He likes to take a short walk, but walks slowly on a leash. There is nothing like a leisurely walk. Smokey is a sweet, mellow senior dog who appreciates the good things in life like a soft bed to lie in, a few head scratches, and perhaps a belly rub. Is that too much to ask? This little man gets along with other dogs and cats. He also gets along with children, but because of his small size, young children should be closely supervised. Smokey would love to have a fenced backyard where he can take his time finding the perfect spot to do his business. When it snows, if you could scoop a little path in the yard for him, he would appreciate your thoughtfulness. His legs are short and Kansas snow can pile up!❄️❄️ Smokey’s adoption fee is $100 and includes his microchip and neuter. He is up to date on vaccinations and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives.
