Story
Hi there, I’m MooMoo!
Despite my name and my unique markings, I’m all dog — a 14-pound, 3-year-old Chihuahua mix looking for a special home where I can feel safe, loved, and understood.
I’m a bit of a shy guy at first, so I need some time to come out of my shell. Once I feel secure, I’ll be your most loyal companion! I’m cautious around strangers and I’m not afraid to voice my opinions, so an apartment is not ideal for me. My foster has noticed I heavily prefer women, so I’d love to find a 1-2 person household with a kind lady to take care of me. It takes me quite a bit of time to warm up to people, especially men, so I need a laid back home. Since young children can be a little overwhelming and loud, I’m looking for a home without them, and I’d probably be happiest as the only dog.
I’ve grown really attached to my foster mom and can be wary of new people, so I’m not the type of dog to spread my love around easily. Instead, I prefer to devote all my attention and affection to my “chosen person”—you’ll be my whole world once we bond!
During the day, I love exploring my fenced yard, sunbathing on the porch, and sitting by the window watching the world go by. I also enjoy going on walks with my foster mom and curling up for long naps in bed. Once I settle into a routine, I’m a pretty low-maintenance and laid-back pup. I’m tidy around the house, eat throughout the day, and rarely have accidents inside as long as I stick to a routine and feel comfortable in my home. I am familiar with the crate and spend time in there when my foster mom is away, but she doesn’t consider me ‘crate trained’ because I don’t have a command and sometimes put up a protest at first. While I’m not a huge fan of traditional dog toys, I love a good lick mat or food puzzle — I could spend hours enjoying those!
If you’re patient, understanding, and ready to meet your new best friend, I might be just the dog you’re looking for! As long as you let me take things at my own pace, I promise to give you all my love and devotion.
