Story
Meet the rough & tough Cable! This tiny spitfire is a 4 month, 6lb (possibly) heeler/small mix breed. Might be a terrier, might be a chihuahua, as he came from a hoarding situation with other chihuahua mix puppies. He's like a new pokemon yet to evolve, who knows how big he'll really grow (probably not much bigger than the average house cat). For a such a little man of steel, he's got a big bark and let's you know when it's time to play! He's the best assist around the yard when it comes to pulling up weeds and digging new holes for plants😆 Small facts for a small dog: •Berry sniffing bloodhound🍓🫐 •He is speed💨 •Big fan of tunnels! •Will assist in the garden (hole digger)🌱 •The reason you can't find your left sock🧦 •Loves to snuggle under the blanket! •Believes he's a big dog & plays like one🤼‍♂️ Cable is available for adoption or foster! Please keep in mind that he is just a puppy who is currently going through training. He knows when he is in the wrong and will give you the saddest puppy eyes and how could you stay mad at that??

Story
Meet Fern, a sweet and shy 2-year-old Chihuahua who’s ready to find her forever family. Fern’s early life wasn’t easy—she came from an unfortunate hoarding situation—but despite her past, she’s blossoming into a loving and playful companion who just needs a little time and patience to truly shine.Fern is a bit on the nervous side at first, and she may take some time to warm up to new people and situations. But once she feels comfortable and safe, her true playful spirit comes alive! This little lady loves to run around, chase toys, and show off her adorable personality. Her high energy and love for play make her a perfect match for an active family or anyone who enjoys spending time with a spunky, fun-loving pup. With a calm and understanding home, Fern will thrive and continue to grow into the confident, affectionate dog she’s meant to be. She’s a loyal companion who’ll form a special bond with her people, and while she may be a bit shy at first, her love and trust are well worth the wait.Fern would do best in a home with patient, gentle people who can help her feel secure as she continues to blossom. If you’re looking for a small, playful dog with a heart of gold, Fern might be the perfect fit. With a little time and love, she’ll become the joyful, energetic friend you’ve been searching for.Good with Kids- UnknownGood with Cats-UnknownGood with Dogs-Yes

Story
Princess Diamond sure knows what it is like to be pampered. She likes to be catered to, does things at her own pace, when she is ready and when she is up to it. She can be a little shy when people she doesn’t know approach her too quickly, or when she is in places she is unfamiliar with. That said, at other times, she will surprise you by greeting new people with her butt wiggling. She will walk right up to the strangers, butt wiggles and all and solicit attention and affection. She doesn’t like to be picked up and sat in your lap when she isn’t the one to initiate it. However, when she feels like lap snuggles, she doesn’t care if you’re ready for it, she will leap in your lap and park herself there for snuggles and butt caresses. She also likes curling up next to you in bed. When you are not home, Diamond will sprawl out on your bed, because you know, it is hers, she just lets you lay in it. Although she is crate trained, she doesn’t need to be crated if home alone. She doesn’t get into things. She will nap or busy herself with toys, she LOVES toys Diamond is 6-7 years old, 10lbs Chihuahua. She is looking for a quiet home where she has a quiet, private Princess chamber to escape to. A home with older kids 13+ and dogs that are submissive would be ideal for Diamond . Diamond is crate trained, she loves car rides, and going for walks If you are interested in adopting her please email Bshrout@cityofmarion.in.gov

Story
Chloe was adopted out by us many years ago, and recently returned when her owner went into a nursing home. She is currently in a foster home. She is shy with new people and slow to trust. Not good with children. OK with gentle dogs and cats. She is hard of hearing and showing signs of her age. She would love a calm, quiet retirement home.If you are interested in adopting this pet, please go to www.midwestpetrefuge.com/adopt to complete an application.
