Everything is possible with a 'Little Bit' of love! Our Little Bit is a senior who came to us with a large hernia. Our wonderful vet removed the hernia and spayed Little Bit. She is slowly warming up in her foster home. The way to Little Bit's heart is through treats. Little Bit needs a lot of patience and love. She is about 4 pounds which presents some challenges. Like many of us, Little Bit hates going out in the cold. She stands and shakes. She has arthritis and needs supplements and possibly daily medication. She also has to be carried up and down the stairs of her foster home. At 12-14 years old, she is too arthritic to climb. Little Bit is not housebroken and she doesn't care for pee pads unless she is confined to an area with them. Like many dogs her size, she finds strangers scary and often greets them with snaps and lunges. She can adjust to new people with time and patience. Little Bit currently lives with dogs and cats. Due to her small size, a home with small dogs would be best. She'd also be fine as an only pet. Daisy was a mom who took wonderful care of her puppies. They are all adopted and now it's her turn! Daisy is a great Velcro dog. She loves being with her person/people and would be a great companion and maybe even assistant for someone who works from home or is retired. She does take some time to warm up to new people, and because of this we would prefer to adopt her out to someone within an hour of her foster home in Libertyville IL, as she would need a few meetings before adoption. But if you adopt her, Daisy will be your BFF in no time! Be sure to make room in the bed, because she will definitely want to sleep with you. Daisy enjoys running and playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She is a silly girl who is all done raising babies (she was spayed). Hi Biggie Paws 🐾 Friends ! It’s me …Dakota ! I am STILL in Kenosha, WI waiting for my Fur-Ever Family to come get me. 🥹 I am a sweet 💕 girl that’s about 6 months old now, I weigh approximately 19 pounds and I look like a Chihuahua Mix.I am very shy at first with new humans. ☺️ Once I get comfortable though, I am the biggest love bug ❤️🐛 and will lay right on top of them. I make sure to let my humans know when I want attention by following them around and jumping up …my foster Family says I am like Velcro. 🤭 Sometimes when they are sitting or laying down on the couch watching tv, I might even lay on top of them to snuggle. 🥰 I also LOVE ❤️ to be held, but when I’m being put back down …I tend to wiggle my way out of my humans arms and try to jump down on my own. 😳I LOVE ❤️ food …who doesn’t ? 😉 I may be slightly obsessive about it though, so my humans like to feed me away from the others. I am really just a goofy 🤪 girl that LOVES ❤️ to run around and play. I especially LOVE to play with other dogs 🐕 and kiddos. I have heard about cats 🐈 …but I’ve never played with them. I do ‘okay’ walking on a leash, 🦮 but can be easily distracted and often times end up walking under my humans feet …let’s face it, I’d rather have them carry me so I can be closer to them and give them kisses. 💋 I have been doing VERY well going potty 🚽💩 outside 👍🏼 - as long as my humans are consistent and timely.At the end of a long, busy day I just want to lay next to my humans and snuggle. 🥰 When it’s time to close my eyes, I sleep 😴 in a crate all through the night.
