Apple Dumpling is great on walks and absolutely loves to run, explore, and take in the world around him. He’s not reactive to cars, dogs, or bikes, making him a joy to take out on adventures. He’s both dog-friendly and cat-friendly, though he’s selective about his companions—he did well with kitties but might get a little too playful at times. He’s also a superstar in the car, settling in easily for the ride. This playful pup adores his stuffies and will happily romp around with them, but his affectionate side is where he truly shines. Apple Dumpling will somersault into your lap, nestle his head into you for cuddles, and curl into a tiny ball to sleep by your side all night. His goofy personality and sweet snuggles make him impossible not to fall in love with. I am so very loving, coming for some pets every chance I get and my favorites are ear scratches and belly rubs. I would probably do best in a quieter home where my person(s) work from home or are retired.! I do great with people once I get to know them but would probably do best in a home with just older kiddos. I do wonderfully with the other dogs in my foster home from big to smaller and also the resident kitty. I am crate trained but will need some continued work on housetraining. My chill easy going personality will make a great companion pup for your family. I'd even be great for a first time pet parent!! I get so excited to see you when you get home even if it was just to get the mail!! I don't really play too much with toys but I do love snuggling on a soft blanket! *ADOPTION SPECIAL- REDUCED FEE $200* This is Boromir. We ran a DNA test on him which came back primarily Cattle Dog, Shih Tzu, Mountain Cur, and Border Collie. He is about 30 pounds and is close to full grown. He is 7.5 months old. Boromir came to Judy's Forgotten Jewells on June 1st. He was brought to us by a Missouri shelter with his littermates. Since he has been in care, staff members say that he is sooo sweet and playful. He loves people and other dogs and will stick right by your side wherever you go. Boromir suffered a broken leg due to an accident and was on medical hold for 6 weeks while it was healing in a cast. Since removing the cast he has been doing great! His radiographs were sent to an orthopedic specialist who did not see any concerns with his leg that would cause future issues. We are happy to make him available now that he is fully healed so that he can find his forever home! The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. *SPECIAL NEEDS - MENTALLY CHALLENGED- secure fenced yard - companion dog required* Meet Money Penny! She's 8 yrs old, 14 lbs, Chihuahua Mix. Penny is a Special Needs Dog due to genetics. She was brought into rescue with 3 other dogs we believe were siblings. She's fine physically . Her biggest issue is her fear, slow comprehension and super sensitive t o noises and she'll run to safe zone. She eats well, and she will take food & treats from your fingers. She does hang sometimes with the other dogs as seen in the photos. So having another dog in home is a must for her to understand how to be a dog. She can not be handle but she will sit in the room on a dog bed or next to you on a couch if other dogs are around. She is not a lap dog. Because she is frightened quickly, she has not been taken outside because not sure how noises outside and the wide-open space would affect her and whether she will be controllable. Foster home is still working on that. She is 95% potty pad trained. Sometimes when she hears a noise and runs, she may potty just because of running. But 95% of the time she used potty pads. PENNY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO WOULD JUST LET HER LIVE QUIETLY AND LEARN TO BE PART OF THE FAMILY.
