Story
You will be over the MOON with this wonderful little man. He is the sweetest! Moon is a 2 year old Chihuahua mix and weighs about 22 pounds. He loves his toys, loves his people, and does a pretty good job at playing fetch - even brings his gingerbread man when asked. His foster mom says he also shakes and sits on command and is learning basic manners. Moon prefers to be the only 4 legged member of the family. The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.helpingstrays.org

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Rosita - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Looking for a new FBF (furry best friend)? Look no further than Rosita (hey, hey, that's me!) and I'm here looking to adopt me a family...one I can say will be all mine! And since you're reading this, I'm hoping that you'll consider making ME a part of your family!!!! I had a very loving person that I absolutely adored. Unfortunately they had to go into assisted living and I wasn't able to go along. I got passed around the other family members with no one wanting to help me with my loss. I was scared and alone and started taking it out on the other people. Just scared and nerves!! I ended up in my foster home where I'm slowing opening up and enjoying getting cuddles and snuggles. I would love another home where I can feel safe and loved again. A patient person that won't rush me, a person that will give me time to know I can trust again, a person that will talk to me softly, a person that will cherish snuggle time on the couch or recliner. I will do best in a quiet low traffic home where my person works from home or is retired. I will also need a home without any small kiddos. It will take a little time to learn each other lil quirks but I'm in this for the long haul and need someone that won't give up on me while we're learning. I'm around 2 years old and I come in at about 7lbs. I am already house and crate trained so that lets us move right to the get acquainted time. I do really well with the other foster pups and love to run around playing with them but I do need to meet them more slowly. I'm not gonna like them at first meet but it doesn't take me long to realize what great fun we'll all gonna have! I've got a beautiful shiny coat that is super easy in the maintenance department, kind of a wash-n-go type of gal. You do know what that means, don't ya? Yep yep, more time for the spoil me rotten department!! I am sooooo ready to find me a family and be that lil heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap. If you have the time to let me open up and show you my true sweet nature, and you think I could be a pawsome fit for your home, please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application! It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Hello all you fantastic people out there, let me introduce myself. My name is Theodore and I'm here hoping to adopt me a family...one that I can say will be all mine! And I'm really hoping since you're reading this, you are considering adding ME to be part of yours!! I am about 3 years old and come in at around 8lbs. I have this highly infectious joyful personality that you just can't help but smile and feel good. I'm one of those barrel full of fun chihuahuas that finds joy in just living life! I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! I do great with people even the smaller versions!! And I love to be held and really enjoy cuddle time. My favoritest toy is those big stuffies I can toss around and pounce on just to repeat the action. I also do great playing with the other pups here at my foster home, although I haven't had the pleasure yet of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat. I am soooo ready to be that heartbeat at your feet or preferably on your lap!! I am working on my housetraining skills and am doing really great. I love being outside and sharing in all your adventures from the mundane daily to your weekend exciting. I would love going for strolls, hiking those milder nature trails or helping supervise yardwork! If you're ready for lots of love and affection, I is that fella for you! All you need to do is fill out my adoption application and I will do the rest!! You can find it at haydudeequine.org Lots of tail wags and puppy kisses, Theodore 💖

Story
*SPECIAL NEEDS - MENTALLY CHALLENGED- secure fenced yard - companion dog required* Meet Money Penny!   She's 8 yrs old, 14 lbs, Chihuahua Mix. Penny is a Special Needs Dog due to genetics. She was brought into rescue with 3 other dogs we believe were siblings.  She's fine physically . Her biggest issue is her fear, slow comprehension and super sensitive t o noises and she'll run to safe zone.   She eats well, and she will take food & treats from your fingers. She does hang sometimes with the other dogs as seen in the photos. So having another dog in home is a must for her to understand how to be a dog. She can not be handle but she will sit in the room on a dog bed or next to you on a couch if other dogs are around. She is not a lap dog. Because she is frightened quickly, she has not been taken outside because not sure how noises outside and the wide-open space would affect her and whether she will be controllable. Foster home is still working on that. She is 95% potty pad trained. Sometimes when she hears a noise and runs, she may potty just because of running. But 95% of the time she used potty pads. PENNY WOULD LOVE TO HAVE SOMEONE WHO WOULD JUST LET HER LIVE QUIETLY AND LEARN TO BE PART OF THE FAMILY. If you think you would like to make Penny part of your family, please fill out an Adoption Application and someone will call and talk to you about her personality.  She is a very sweet dog but not sure if she will ever adjust to loud noises. If you are interested, complete the  Adoption Application  on our website at  www.NeedyPaws.org  and we will contact you.  Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Money’s adoption fee is $275.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
