This playful pup has been through a lot, but he’s proving every day that he’s ready for a new chapter. Rescued from a hoarding situation, Riggins is still learning to trust, but with each passing day, he’s showing more of his loving and playful nature. He absolutely enjoys the company of other dogs and thrives in their presence, finding comfort and confidence in having canine friends by his side. He’s also a generous boy who doesn’t mind sharing his food—something that speaks to his gentle and kind spirit. Though the world is still a little new and overwhelming for him at times, Riggins is making great strides in learning to walk on a leash and embrace the life he deserves. One of the sweetest things about Riggins is his affectionate side—when he feels safe, he gives the best kisses! With patience, love, and a steady hand to guide him, he will continue to grow into the confident, happy dog he’s meant to be. Riggins needs a home that understands his past but is excited about his future. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will blossom with time and care, Riggins just might be the perfect fit! All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble.
