Monty is currently enjoying his time in a foster home! Monty's foster mom says:Monty is a grumpy old man, but with a lot of love still to give. He gives sweet little kisses but grumbles when I kiss him. He loves burrowing under blankets. He has been a picky eater and since he was so skinny, I'm spoiling him with hamburger and chicken. Part of that may have been his dental issues with abscessed teeth which are now resolved. He is a screamer when you try to do things he doesn't like - putting on his collar or his sweater. Makes me think he has been abused before and screams when he is scared. As he gets more secure in feeling safe, I hope that resolves. He comes when called inside and outside. He is mostly potty trained but has marked since he wasn't neutered. He will have accidents if not taken out every couple hours. Puppy pads help during the day.Monty is on Keppra to manage seizures, so that will have to factor into your decision if interested in adopting!Adoption Fee: $ 75Estimated Date of Birth: UnknownIntake Reason: transfer from agencyAnimal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. Mickey is a nice size dog weighing in at 18 pounds. He is a total lap dog and loves to give kisses. Our best guess for breed is chihuahua and shiba inu. He loves to play with other dogs but would make a great only dog too. He has not been around young children, but definitely cannot be with cats. He is potty trained, crates well, and walks good on a leash. Mickey is a character and would be a good fit in most homes. Dallas is a sweet, gentle and timid guy, who came to us very underweight from a hoarding situation. All he wants is love and attention. His foster mom says "Dallas is an annoying little guy who want to be held all the time and sleeps on my head, along with sticking his tongue in my mouth at any random opportunity". She actually loves him, lol. He's doing well using potty pads. Dallas is about 3 years old and came to us at 6 pounds, but needs to gain a couple pounds.  Are you looking for your very own free loader? How about someone to dress up on game day to keep you company? Do you need someone to share your bed each night and keep your lap warm during the day? How about an occasional kiss (with tongue) while you’re trying to talk? I have the perfect 3 year old lil man for you. Weighing in at just 10# Dallas is the perfect size.  Dallas came from a hoarding case, he will act scared to death for about 24 hours, then he will be sitting on your head before you know it.  Because they have never being outside previously, potty training will take continued work. Belly bands will help with this. He will also need to be leash walked until the full trust/ bond is formed because he will be a flight risk in the beginning, and Chihuahuas can find the smallest opening in a fence and squeeze out. Houston is learning that humans bring all of the good things in the world. Houston came from a home with 27 other dogs. He has been slower to warm up than his brother and the world is scary and makes him nervous. He needs a quiet home with lots of patience and kindness to help this sweet boy be all he can be. He is using the potty pad consistently and is seeking his foster humans for comfort and reassurance. He has come a long way in a short time and will be a wonderful companion with a loving and secure home. He is about 1 years old and came to us at 12 pounds, but needs to gain a couple pounds. Houston is good with dogs and cats, children are overwhelming for him so an adult only home would be best.
