Story
Scrappy may be small in size, but he’s big on personality. With his oversized ears and big, bright eyes, he’s a little ball of energy who’s always ready to take on the world (or at least, the backyard). Whether he’s chasing after his favorite squeaky toy or snuggling up for a nap in the sun, Scrappy is never far from the action. He’s a proud protector of his home and loves to let everyone know that size doesn`t matter when it comes to guarding his family. Despite his tough exterior, he’s a total softie at heart, especially when he’s curled up on your lap or getting belly rubs.Scrappy’s favorite things include treats, belly rubs, and his daily walks where he gets to show off his confident stride. His little tail never stops wagging. This little guy may be small, but he’s got a big heart, and he’s always ready to spread some love to everyone he meets!Scrappy`s adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm test (if over 9 months old), and kept up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Scrappy, you may fill out an application at www.tlchs.org or you are welcome to make a Match Making appointment to come out and meet him first. We are open Tuesday – Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Story
Daisy was born in 2015 and is 9 years old. She is a chiweenie (chihuahua & dachshund) and is a super sweet dog once you get to know her. She does have a little stranger danger but will eventually come around and play. She is very loyal to her owners and will snuggle in your lap with you if you let her. She is crate trained and potty trained. She does not have any accidents in the home. She is energetic and loves being outside to run around. We unfortunately do not have the area for her to run around in and that’s part of the reason for trying to find her a new home. She would enjoy walking freely outside in someone’s yard with a fence. We have 2 young kids and she plays well with both kids. She has never bitten any of us or any stranger. She is a sweet dog that needs someone that is home more to give her the attention she needs. 🩷

Story
Cayenne is a 1 year old chihuahua. She has recently had pups and is a little scared at first but she will grow to you. Loves to cuddle and doesn't like a kennel. She enjoys being outdoors and being held. Very loving dog once she gets to know you. Gets along with other dogs. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Meet Tiny – The Independent Queen! 👑 Tiny may be small in size, but she’s got a personality that’s larger than life! This senior lady is the ultimate mix of independence, sass, and charm. If you’re an experienced dog owner looking for a companion who knows what she wants, Tiny might just be your perfect match. A few things to know about Tiny: -Low Maintenance: Tiny is all about the simple life. She’s quiet, content, and doesn’t demand much—just her space and some respect for her boundaries. -Pee Pad Trained: Forget the fuss of walks in bad weather! Tiny is perfectly trained to use pee pads, making her an easy fit for indoor living. -Knows She’s the Boss: Tiny’s personality is pure queen energy. She loves being in charge and expects her humans to understand that she’s the one calling the shots. -Dog Friendly... On Her Terms: Tiny isn’t looking for a playmate. She’s perfectly fine coexisting with other dogs, but she prefers to keep interactions minimal. -Not a Lap Dog: If you’re dreaming of a cuddle bug, Tiny’s probably not your girl. She’s happy doing her own thing and isn’t one for constant affection. -Sets Boundaries: Tiny isn’t shy about letting you know when she needs space. She may give a little nip if her boundaries are crossed, so she’s best suited to a home with adults or experienced dog owners who can respect her independence. Despite her independent streak, Tiny has so much love to give to the right person. She’s a loyal companion who thrives when treated like the queen she is. If you appreciate a dog with a bold personality and a heart of gold, Tiny is waiting to meet you! Ready to welcome Tiny into your kingdom?
