She orginally came from a hoarding situation, so can still be a little shy/ reserved at times. With a little love, patience and treats, she warm up pretty quickly! Princess is still working on some puppy skills, with proper crate training and potty training, she is improving with every day she spends in rescue. She has been socializes around kids, a cat, and a few small dogs and does great. Tall people are more approachable when they come down to her level, sit, etc verses towering over her. Jack is 10 years old and recently became homeless after a larger dog in the home attacked him causing him to loose his eye. His family could not afford the surgery nor did they feel like they could keep him safe and decided that they would not be picking him up from the vet when he was ready to go home. Jack is the sweetest little cuddle bug and the perfect lap companion at about 8-10 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines. Bloodwork looks great, heartworm negative, recently completed a dental with a few extractions. He is still wary of larger dogs over 50 lbs, but great with smaller dogs his size. Gets along with the kitties in his foster home. He is crate trained and house trained. A DELIGHTFUL LITTLE GIRL: Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 12 lbs. Hi there, I’m Twinkie! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and I’m very happy to be here getting the good care and love I desire. I got to spend some time in a wonderful foster home and had a lot of fun there! Now I’m back at the shelter and ready to meet my new family, hopefully soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I did well with the other dog in my former foster home, but didn’t really pay much attention to them. So, if you have a dog that isn’t looking for a playmate, let’s meet! I also met dogs at Mostly Mutts upon my return and did well with them. / I did well with the kitty in my foster home as I pretty much ignored him, though we sometimes shared a bed. All cats are different though, so I’m not sure how I would do with another cat. / I met kids in my foster home and did well with them, so I think kids 10+ years could be a good fit. Let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My former foster reported that I pretty much matched the energy of the room - if it was playtime, I was happy to jump in and have fun, and if it was time to sit down and watch TV or a movie, I was the perfect lap dog. I’ve been great with everyone I’ve met so far, and overall, I’m just a super sweet girl. / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m working on my leash manners as I do pull a good bit. I’m treat motivated, so I’m sure you can teach me a lot. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / I’m working on my potty manners as I had accidents in my foster home. They think that I was trained to use potty pads as I did much better when those were available. The folks at Mostly Mutts are working with my on my outside potty manners and I’ll need my new family to help with that. • LIKES/DISLIKES: My former foster reported that I loved cuddling, getting lots of pets, and curling up in laps whenever I can. I also had a great time playing fetch and tug of war, and treats were always a big favorite! / Car rides aren’t really my favorite - I’m not necessarily anxious, I just like to move around a lot. To keep everyone safe, I do best when I’m restrained or crated so I don’t distract the driver. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I had a good dental cleaning and 2 teeth removed. I’ve got some dry itchy skin so I’m getting soothing oatmeal baths for a little while which I seem to enjoy and those can be done in my new home. I’m also taking an allergy medication called Zenrelia for a short time to see if that helps me along. Just ask how I’m doing. I’m a real sweetie looking for a great family and home! I was so pitiful when I ended up in the county shelter. Sad because I'd gotten lost and really sad because my person didn't come find me. The shelter said I was 14, but they were way off. My teeth are ground down, which probably resulted in the 14 yo age. I was kept in a cage most of the time probably. I've definitely had puppies, so maybe I was used for breeding. Now I'm perfectly perfect. No need for a crate. I go outside to do my business. I get the zoomies during the day when I'm beyond happy. I'm a really happy girl and my foster mom says I'm a cuddle bug. I'm a sweet girl that is ready to make a family smile when I'm around.

Hanna came in with Lucy. Both girls had little contact with the outside world for a year. We think Hanna has Feist in her and of course Chihuahua. We call her the "Big Chihuahua". She's less outgoing then Lucy, but warms up nicely. She'd be fine as an only dog. Hanna is quiet and gentle. She wants attention, but it's been so long since she's had any she's not sure. She's fine with other dogs. Hanna's ready for her forever home, one that will never abandon her again!
