Story
The beautiful and sweet Trixie While she has every reason to not love people, she still does.  This girl was taken as part of a criminal animal abuse case, but you would never guess it. She's reached a healthy weight and is absolutely adorable. Especially with that one wonky ear haha. Trixie is small enough to tuck under your arm and go, but not delicate built like many chihuahuas. She's right about 15lb. She's a velcro dog. She loves to be with people. You'll hear her whimpers that sound like newborn kittens if you leave her alone. She does settle down once she realizes you aren't able to come get her. Trixie is house trained and crate trained. One of the residual signs of neglect is Trixie tested positive for heartworms while at animal control. Paws will begin the slow kill treatment protocol. She is still loveable and adoptable. The treatment plan is covered by Paws. She just needs you to give her all the love and snuggles while she gets through treatment so she can live a long, happy, active life! If you're looking for a companion that never wants to leave your side, you might want to consider this amazing young lady. ##2336728##

Story
Pepper is 9 yrs old and was purchased at FOPAS by my wife. She is 9yrs old and loves to be chased, but also loves to have her belly rubbed. Would love to find her a good home with a yard and kids from about 10 & up. She is an outside dog because she does shed quite a bit. She does sleep inside when it's cold or extremely hot. Is caged trained and house broken. She is very active, but has mellowed some as she has gotten older. She weighs 50 lbs

Story
Tiny and his friend Teeny came to us from a breeding situation in Macon, Georgia. Both were very thin and had horrible skin. They were terrified of us but are letting us pet them and run out to greet us now. They will need a patient family to earn their love and trust. They will need a quiet home with a fenced yard. They must be adopted locally and together.

Story
Name: FionaBreed: MiniPin mixSex/Age/Weight: Female/3 years old/12 lbsVetting: Vaccines UTD, Rabies UTD, Heartworm negative, microchipped, and spayedHouse trained/Crate Trained: I am house trained and crate trained. I know how to use a puppy pad if it is raining outside. Dogs/Cats/Children: Dogs, yes. I have not been observed around cats or children, but I can be tested upon request. Energy Level: I love to play with the other dogs in my foster home. I love to walk outside. I do bark when I see other people/animals when outside or looking outside. Before FAR/My History: I was found as a stray by the local animal control. The rescue was kind enough to pull me and take me under their care.Training Status/Commands I know: I am very stubborn and don’t always like to listen to my foster mom, however I know sit, come and stop.Things I don’t like: I don’t like sudden moves or loud noises. I can still be very skittish and I am very slow to warm up to new people. I think being a stray didn’t help with me being skittish.Ideal Family/Home: The ideal home would be a local home to Macon, where I can possibly spend a couple of weekends with my new family (trial period) so I can get to know you and feel comfortable. But I do become attached to my human once I get to know them.If you are interested in giving Fiona a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer.
