Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.    Ryan is a shy with people does well with his pack friends. Ryan was left out side when his owners moved. He was on his own for about 11 months when animal control finally caught him. No one could touch him. He has come a long ways but needs someone who understands that it will take time for him to warm up to them. He does sit on my lap now and will sit next to someone he knows. He is an extreme flight risk until he can trust the person he is with.  He would do well if he has a playmate his size. He needs an experienced owner. He is not overly affectionate but loves to come on my lap and loves his back rubs and head scratchs. He also needs a secure fenced yard. He does not do well on a leash. Only experienced people with this type of dog will be considered for Ryan. Will not answer any emails just applications will be reviewed and considered. Ryan does not do well out side his environment. Needs someone who will be with him most of the time so he can start to feel secure not taken on trips or watched by other people. It will take time and he will come around to be a wounderful companion.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    October 23, 2024, 12:06 am

Story
Macky Mack Mack came to us and landed with one of our awesome fosters at the end of March. At the time of his intake he had almost no hair on his body. He had lived outside on a lanai with minimal care and interaction for the majority of his life. Fast forward a few months and he's a little spitfire he is a little shadow and loves nothing more than to be with his people. Mack is estimated to be about 1-1.5 yrs old and is a chihuahua mix - perhaps a little papillon there too. He loves other dogs, knows how to fall into his pack spot very well and learns very quickly. He is left out during the day with no, well minimal destruction... paper towels, socks, perhaps a shoe are fair game! He gets you in the habit of keeping things picked up and put away pretty quickly! He is still in his puppy stage for the most part so playing with his mouth, jumping, needing to hear "no more than once are still in his day to day activities, but you won't find a better cuddler or side kick that will follow you everywhere! He is only about 15-20 lbs, so he's a little guy! Mack LOVVEEESS cats. But that love includes a bit of racing, tackling and snuggle love so any future kitty siblings must be willing to accept his version of love! He is a little skittish with new people so he will need a family with the patience to help him adjust. He plays rather rambunctiously and does jump some so we think he would do best with older kids. Mack's awesome foster has spent the last two months giving him the love and care that he needs and we are so impressed with the progress he's made. He isn't ready to be adopted today, as he still needs additional routine vet care, but he will be ready to go home soon!! Story
one of many dogs confiscated from a hoarding situation. Hen has received shots and is now spayed. She is good with other dogs, needs time with people, very shy not snippy. She darts in to see you with tail awagging and then gets a pet and darts away.. She allows touch all over, and is easily picked up and held. Penny is a dogs dog. that means she prefers the company of dogs to people. She needs lots of touch, car rides, different places to see and meeting lots of new people all in small metered doses. Will need a patient loving foster or foster to adopt who knows chis. This acclimation needs to be at her pace not yours. She does allow handling and is good with other dogs. Now house trained and loves her crate! She will fly into her crate when I leave or she is going to eat! Will need another kind patient dog to be with but one that is really playful.. She is a very active girl and loves to play. She really cannot go to a home without another dog to model herself after. Fences yard is a must. She does now like to snuggle especially on the bed! Likes to sleep next to you! fostered in Bradenton. Apps are found at ewenityfarmsbch.com.. She is 12 pounds soaking wet! PUPDATE!! 12/26 Henny is loving being petted, loves her belly rubs and comes back for more!! She rides well in a car in a crate. Still needs to be around people and new places to break down her apprehensiveness of new things but it is getting less!! A delightful silly girl who is loving toys, may be a sport prospect down the road and needs a dog savvy person!! Slow progress but good progress!!!

Story
This sweet lil gal is a new addition to ewenity. She will be available in a couple weeks. She is shy to human touch but allows handling all over. Very submissive. Needs leash work, appears to be housebroken. Still a puppy so all puppy training applies. We are taking her out frequently, she loves other dogs, and play bows with dogs and people. Tugs on toys, crates fine. Loves to snuggle, exploring her surroundings, and has an inquisitive personality. Great little girl with a lot of potential, maybe even for dog sports. Currently fostered in Bradenton.

Story
Jenna is a sweet dog. I adopted her 8 years ago. She was 3 or 4 then. We live on Longboat Key, Florida and I am relocating to Los Angeles. Jenna has never accepted me as the alpha. She barks at other dogs "protecting me" when we walk. When any male friend of mine walks her she is perfectly well behaved. She is not destructive and when at home she sleeps most of the time. She can walk as many as 8 miles a day and I know she would love living in a place where she can go outside and explore. I hate to give her up but she is not good in a city environment. I would be willing to let you try things out for a few weeks and if it doesn't work out I would take her back. She is in very good health and like most dogs doesn't love going to the vet. She is a hunter and adventurer and is relentless in her pursuit and capture of lizards. She loves riding in the car. She is not that dog that sticks her head out the window but she likes being in the passenger seat. A male with a yard would be perfect!
