Story
🐾 Meet Weasel 🐾 This sweet little guy is ready for a fresh start and a family of his own. Weasel is a loving, people-adoring pup who lives for affection. He loves kids, gives the best kisses, and is happiest snuggled up close to his person. He’s gentle, affectionate, and wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved. Weasel does need to gain some weight, and with good food and a calm, loving environment, we know he’ll thrive. Because he’s a bit timid, he would do best with someone who is home often or can take him along for daily adventures — being close to his person helps him feel secure. He has been dog-tested and ran away in fear, so he would likely do best as an only dog or with a very calm, patient canine companion after slow introductions. He has not been cat tested. ✨ Weasel’s highlights: • Loves people & kids • Affectionate, cuddly, and kiss-giving • Shy but incredibly sweet • Would thrive with a home-often companion • Needs weight gain & TLC Weasel may be small, but his heart is huge. He’s looking for someone who will give him patience, love, and a safe place to finally relax and be cherished. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow with endless love to give, Weasel might be your guy 🐶💕

Story
Meet Pumpkin! Pumpkin was left at a shelter after having her mouth duct taped shut, and something attacked her front. She showed up at the shelter torn up, but never lost her sweet sweet disposition. She is all healed now and ready for her furever home! She is a little timid in new surrounding and will cling to her person, however she wants to explore and be good. She is great in an environment she knows well, and is doing much better going on walks etc. She would do best in a home where someone will have a little patience with her shyness in new environments, but wants a dog that is super sweet and will do whole body wiggles when they see you! She has great puppy energy and is so thrilled to be able to act like the true puppy she is now that she is in a safe environment! She adores people and a brave fur brother or sister would help her come out of her shell in strange environments! Pumpkin is being spayed on the 23rd. If you want to take her home now, she can be placed in a foster to adopt situation and have her adoption finalized on the 23rd after her spay. She is up to date on her vaccines.

Story
Hi . . . my name is Toto and I’m a 1-year-old Chihuahua girl who weighs just 9 lbs.  I may not be the “famous” Toto from the Wizard of Oz, but I guarantee that I will be following the yellow brick road straight to your heart.  I’m a very sweet girl who may be shy at first, but once I settle in, I’m all yours!  I’m adventurous, athletic and love to give kisses too.  Favorite Things: Toto LOVES her humans and snuggling with them.  She loves being close to you and if she could, she’d physically get into your skin with you.  Can we say, “Snuggle Bug”?? Training & Manners: Toto is hard at work on her house training and does go potty outside (as well as on pee pads at times).  She will need patience and consistency with her schedule to avoid any accidents in her new environment.  She has good basic manners and tolerates a car ride. She walks well on leash and would be the perfect walking or running buddy.  Her love of treats makes training easier. She is a good eater and eats all her food.  Health & Care: Toto is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped  and heartworm negative.  She will just need her monthly heartworm and flea prevention, like any dog.  As a short-haired dog, she is easy maintenance and will just require occasional baths and nail trims.  Other Animals: Toto would prefer to be the one and only dog in your life.  While she can be in a home with other dogs, she truly prefers to have all her humans’ attention.  If there are other dogs in her forever home, she would do best with passive ones that mind their own business and ones she doesn’t feel the need to compete with for attention.  She has interacted with cats, but again, only those that are passive and don’t look for a lot of attention.  She can be a jealous girl with other fur-siblings looking to take attention away from “her” people. Children: Toto would be happiest in an adults-only home, where she can soak up every bit of affection and snuggle her way into your heart. Ideal Home: Toto would be happy in a single-family home or a townhouse, condo or apartment.   She can be left alone in the home for a few hours without issues.  At night she will cuddle up in her dog bed, or better yet, in the “big people” bed with her human(s). Overall: If you are looking for a gentle, affectionate girl who will surely shower you with love, Toto could be the one for you.  If you think she might be, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $550. ##2585406##
