Story
Hey, Im lucky. I came into the shelter after I was running the streets, and noone came to pick my up. I am a little shy but after you get to know me I am so much fun! I love to play ball and runaround. My favorite thing is doing zoomies! After I come inside I like to cuddle up on my favorite bed, or on the couch. I would love a home with another dog or children to play with.

Story
LUNA is a 3 year old Chipin (a Chihuahua mixed with a Mini Pinscher), and I adopted her when she was only a year old, back in August of 2022. She is a highly energetic dog, loves to play with anyone, and has been trained to use puppy pads inside the house. She understands basic commands such as sit, lie down (or relax), high five, and most importantly..."no". She's also very needy. She constantly craves attention, and can be quite vocal about it. The only changes in her behavior over the years, has been more so of an aggressive territorial nature. Luna LOVES her bed, but can get very defensive if you "bother her" while she's relaxing in it. Her way of letting you know not to bother her, is by her low growl. If she feels your invading her space, she WILL growl louder, show her teeth, and eventually...snap/bite, so FAIR WARNING! Her front paw nails (both left and right) have grown a bit long and sharp, but within the last 6 months, she will snap at anyone who tries to trim them.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet 6 lb, 7yo Peanut, a sassy, independent, adventurous Chihuahua who likes to have it her way. Her attitude has improved after surgery to remove her painful eyes, but she will still need patience and time to trust in her new home because first meets with strangers are difficult for her and she will be reactive. She just needs someone to give her the chance to get to know them, and know that they won't hurt her. She will then give you her heart. She is house broken, crate trained and sleeps through the night in her bed. She mostly ignores other dogs unless confronted with an in-your-face type dog, will voice her dislikes, but gives a warning bark to unfamiliar voices or noises. If you are on the look out for a watch dog, she’s your gal. Her hearing is excellent. Peanut is a good car rider. She navigates well inside the house to her beds, crate, the kitchen for treats, the water bowl, and will put herself to bed. Her most favorite place is outdoors exploring, sniffing, listening to sounds and protests if her peace is disturbed; a fenced yard would allow her to roam freely and is required for her. She will also tolerate being on a leash. Our girl is food aggressive as a result of being found dumped, starving and alone on a country road, severely underweight at just 3 lbs. Her foster mom puts her food down and walks away, giving her space. Peanut seems to prefer females, but just may warm up to a special guy who is well versed in Chi and their idiosyncrasies. While not a cuddler, she will approach for attention, a neck rub and, perhaps to join you on the couch under strict supervision because she will walk right off the edge if not stopped. Peanut may be best in a home as an only dog, would be okay with cats, but not with small children. We are adopting her to an all-adult home only, a single story home with no ground-level pool, and no stairs/steps to get outside. She will need an uncluttered living space. Peanut is heart worm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. She can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. If you believe you have the perfect forever home for Peanut and her little quirks due to her sight limitations and chihuahua personality, please complete her app and tell us more about you. Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Eve, she is  8 months old. Eve came to us with her momma Maggie (who found her forever home) and two siblings. She is the runt of the litter, currently weighing in around 16 pounds. But don't underestimate Eve based on her size because she has the heart of a lion. And don't tell Eve she's small because she thinks she's big stuff. She stands up for herself and can be mouthy when other dogs come up to the pen. She is brave, playful, friendly and spunky but she is also sweet and sensitive and enjoys a good cuddle. She loves to chew on toys, play with her siblings as well as playing and exploring in the yard. Eve isn’t a fan of water, so bath time is definitely not her favorite activity. If you’re in the Orlando area and believe your family has the time, energy, and love to dedicate to raising a puppy, we’d love for you to send in an application and share more about your family!
