Neko is a really Cool chi boy. Would Do best with a chi savvy pet Parent. Lived previously with 6 other dogs and owner could no longer care for. Gets jealous of other dogs and may do best as an only dog child. Good with kitties as well. Shy until he knows you. Typical chi.

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Eve is an affectionate 9 month old 16 pound puppy.  She can be nervous at times but is also brave, playful, friendly and spunky, sweet, and sensitive. Eve loves a good cuddle and will make a wonderful companion. She would do well with dogs on the calmer side or as the only dog. Although her littermates were bigger please don't tell Eve she's small, because she thinks she's big stuff. She can stand up for herself when she needs to.  She rides to school in the car every day to help her foster mom pick up the kids and each time it takes her about 5 minutes not to be nervous. Eve is doing pretty well with leash walking too but can be nervous about it sometimes so more practice will help her.  She loves to chew on toys, play, and explore the yard. She is sleeping in a pen at night right now. Eve is house trained and crate trained.  If you’re in the Orlando area and believe your family is a great fit for Eve please send in an application and share more about your family!  February 16, 2025, 4:50 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Hi - my name is Chico. I’m a male 2-year-old, 11-lb. possible chihuahua and dachshund mix (some people call that a chiweenie, though I look more on the chi side). After a short time to warm up to you, I’ll be your best friend and shadow. I love cozy blankets, and playing with my toys. I’m working very hard on my potty training, am mostly crate trained but prefer being out and about, and walk AMAZINGLY on a leash. I'm a medium-energy kinda guy, so if you love walks then cuddle time I’m your man. I’m great with big and small dogs, and have been introduced to cats and did well. If the home has kids, I would do best with older children, since young kids make me nervous. I’m also nervous around new things, but with love and patience, I quickly learn to not be afraid. I’m a happy, sweet boy when I’m given just a little time to get to know you. For my young age, I’m a calm and relaxed dog and I actually don’t bark all that much. I know sit, down, and a recall, and do fine riding in a car. I have gone through training to help me learn how to meet strangers so a family who is willing to continue that on is a must. If you think you are the perfect family for my cute self, and you live in the Orlando area, complete an app and tell me how you would make me your special little man. January 31, 2025, 7:17 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Peanut Butter is the sweetest girl! This 5yo, 7.6 lb. Chiweenie is very timid at first and will need time to get to know you before she will commit to being your friend. But once she does, she is your bestie! She favors women, is skittish around men and may never warm up to a male in the home, so for that reason we are preferring to adopt her to an all-female home. She loves to cuddle in the human bed at night (this is a must for her) and sleeps all through the night under the covers. With her short legs, she will need stairs or a ramp onto the bed and couch. She is house trained and loves, loves her daily walks, doing a happy dance when the harness and leash come out. She enjoys her brisk walks, except to stop and sniff, and is energized when she sees a squirrel teasing her. She also loves searching out lizards. She is non-reactive to people and dogs on her walks. Belly rubs are also a favorite. She is dog and cat friendly (ignores a cat), and gains comfort from having another friendly dog (large or small) in the home, so that will be given preference. She loves meal times and getting treats. She cutely stands on her hind legs waiting for her treat. She loves chewing on a Benebone or chew bone. One of her favorite things is sun bathing on the screened-in porch area. She isn’t a big barker, but does bark when she perceives danger. She does well riding in a car in her doggy booster seat. Once she gets used to her new situation and comes out of her shell, she is a happy and fun little dog. She is sad when she is left behind, and cries for a little while, so we are wanting someone for her who is home most of the time. We want a smaller fenced yard for her to run around in, but with her tiny size, it must be totally secure with no gaps where she can squeeze out. Due to her small size, we prefer an all-adult home for her, but if the home has a child, an older respectful child will be considered. Whoever adopts this sweet girl is truly getting a gem. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, match all of her qualifications in this profile, and believe you have the perfect home for Peanut Butter, please complete an app and tell us more about you.  February 18, 2025, 11:29 am

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Frankie is just the most precious boy! He is around 2yo and weighs 15lbs., and is probably a chihuahua mix of some sort, with a gorgeous brindle, black and white coat and warm brown eyes. Frankie loves the company of other dogs, kitties and adults. He has been with kids ages 5 to 10yo and did great. He loves chew toys and is very food motivated. He rides well in a car. He's just an all-around fun guy and will bring joy to you every day. Frankie is crated when his fosters leave the house, and he cries a bit at first but settles down. For that reason, apartment living would would not suit him. We prefer a fenced yard, or someone who can provide him with lots of exercise and a place to run and burn off his energy. He is active in the morning, then settles in for nap time. He is mostly potty trained but will mark occasionally, although he was just neutered so that will likely continue to improve. He sleeps in the crate too, but only because one of his foster siblings doesn't like to share the people bed. He would love to sleep in bed with his people. He just wants to be as close to you as possible and likes to show affection with gentle little kisses. Frankie is heartworm positive at this time, and is on the slow kill protocol, which we can explain that process to any interested applicant. He can enjoy regular activities. Heart worm disease is contracted from an infected mosquito and can not be transmitted to another dog. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Frank, please complete an app and tell us more about your family. February 12, 2025, 3:39 pm
