Story
Meet Nacho a Small Dog. Big Attitude. Even Bigger Heart. At just 1 year old, Nacho may be pint sized, but he packs a whole lot of personality into his tiny frame. Found as a stray, he is now on the hunt for a forever home that understands the classic Chihuahua charm a little sass, a lot of loyalty, and a whole bunch of I run this place energy. True to his breed, Nacho is alert, smart, and incredibly devoted once he decides you are his person. He might give you a skeptical side-eye at first he has got standards, okay but once you are in his inner circle, he will follow you like a shadow and protect you from rogue leaves, suspicious delivery people, and possibly your own reflection. What Nacho brings to the table, 6 pounds of pure determination, a bark that says I may be small, but I’m in charge, velcro dog tendencies lap required, cuddles mandatory and a bonus side eye and dramatic flair at no extra charge. Nacho gets along well with other respectful small dogs, but he is not afraid to let the big dogs know who is boss. He would thrive in a home where he can be the star of the show or at least co captain. Due to his tiny size and bold spirit, he may do best with adults or older kids who understand Chihuahua manners. This boy attaches himself to one person and needs to go to a one owner home. Nacho is spicy, snuggly, and ready to upgrade your life with equal parts comedy and cuddles. Come meet himbut be warned once he chooses you, there is no going back. For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30 to 6 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday from 10:30 to 4 closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cashew is a confident, sassy little female puppy who is about 5-6 months old.  She weighs approximately  5 pounds , and with her mom only weighing  5–6 pounds , she’s not expected to get much bigger, although she is the biggest in her litter. Don’t let her size fool you, Cashew has a big personality! She is pee pad trained and currently spends time in an open pen setup with pads for potty time. She has not yet experienced a leash, so her family will need to be committed to leash training. Cashew likes to be the leader of her brother and sister and will absolutely “tell on them” if she thinks they’re doing something they shouldn’t; it’s both hilarious and adorable. Cashew is sassy and confident, yet also sweet, friendly, and affectionate. She loves to run and play, especially with other dogs, and would do wonderfully in a home with another playful pup. After playtime, she’s more than happy to settle in for cuddle time. She sleeps very well through the night and is accustomed to a home environment where she gets plenty of supervised free time to run and play, with her pen used when not supervised. Cashew is the perfect mix of spunky leader and loving companion, and she’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and snuggles to her forever home.
