Story
Meet Bingo! ❤️🐾 Bingo is a 7½-year-old red-coated Chihuahua weighing just 13 pounds, and he has a HUGE heart packed into his little body. While the shelter environment has been scary and overwhelming for him, his foster home showed who Bingo truly is—a loving, devoted companion who thrives in a calm, stable home. In foster, Bingo bonded incredibly quickly, jumping into laps within minutes and sticking close to his person wherever they went. He absolutely loves being petted, cuddled, and praised, and his tail is almost always wagging. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be near you at all times, quietly sharing space and soaking up affection. Bingo can be people-selective, so he’ll need slow, respectful introductions and the chance to come to new people on his own terms—but when given that patience, he warms up beautifully. He does best in a quiet, low-stress adult home and is looking to be the only pet: no dogs, no cats, and no kids. He’s food-motivated, eager to learn, and has already started picking up basic cues like sit and come. He’s also happy to relax on a nearby bed while you eat and settles well when left alone—no barking or separation anxiety noted. ❤️🐾 Bingo is ready for his forever home—a peaceful, adult-only environment where he can be someone’s loyal shadow, cuddle buddy, and best friend. Give him patience, love, and stability, and he’ll give you his whole heart in return. I qualify for the Silver Paws VIP Program. Do you? If you're 65 or older, we could be the perfect match! As part of this special program, Gulf Coast Humane Society waives the adoption fee and provides free veterinary care through our wellness clinic. It’s our way of supporting lifelong companionship. Story
We don’t know much about Bandito’s past. He was found wandering alone on Bayshore Rd and was transferred to ARC from LCDAS. What we do know is that this little guy is incredibly sweet—his fast-wagging tail says it all! Bandito is always happy to see people and soak up the love. Bandito has tested positive for heartworms and will need to complete treatment prior to adoption. However, potential adopters are welcome to apply and come meet him during his treatment journey. This happy boy would love to meet his future family and have something special to wag his tail for. Why not complete an application and schedule your appointment to meet this sweet boy? https://animalrefugecenter.com/adoption-application My ideal home:I need a younger family to provide play time and loveI'm good with:Some Other Dogs Young Children Older Children Men Women Date of birth June 2022December 27, 2025, 2:15 pm

Story
Hey there, I’m Taco! I might be small at 10 pounds, but I’ve got a BIG story to tell! I’m a 4-year-old Chihuahua-Xolo mix looking for my forever human who understands that the best things in life take time. Here’s the real deal about me: I’m what you might call “cautiously optimistic” about new people. I know I seem super shy at first - I might even hide behind my favorite toy or retreat to my trusty crate. But here’s my secret… once I decide you’re MY person, I become the most loving, snuggly shadow you’ve ever had! I’m looking for someone special - a patient soul who won’t rush me but will let me bloom at my own pace. In return, I promise to show you what true loyalty looks like. I’ll play with ALL the toys, bring you endless entertainment with my puppy energy, and give you the sweetest cuddles once I trust you completely. I get along great with other dogs (they help me feel brave!) but I’d prefer a home without little humans - sometimes their quick movements make this pequeño guy a bit nervous. My ideal day? Playing with squeaky toys, hanging out with my dog friends, and slowly but surely stealing your heart one tail wag at a time. Could you be the patient, understanding human I’ve been waiting for? Let’s find out…complete an application through the FCCR website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $300
