Story
Hi, I'm Wally (short for Wally West, like the superhero, the Flash ⚡)! I'm an energetic 8-year-old neutered male Terrier mix. I love cuddling, playing with toys, running around, and doing tricks like sit, lie down, roll over, and shake paws. I'm smart and can learn more with time and treats. I'm crate trained and sleep there willingly. I get along with other dogs and cats, though I can be a bit too playful for smaller dogs. With cats, I’m calm but they don’t always want to play. I do best in a home without young children because I tend to get jealous, especially with my little human brother who has health issues. I need an active home where I can get plenty of walks or have a yard to run in. I am up to date on my vaccines but overdue for a dental. My parents are going through a tough time financially and hope to find me a loving home where I can thrive. They are not asking for a rehoming fee and can provide my crate, toys, and other essentials. Thank you for considering me! ❤️

Story
Davina came to us from a hoarding situation with a ton of other small chihuahua/mixes. She is great with other dogs and would benefit from a confident people-loving dog in her new home. Davina is very curious and likes to people-watch, but will likely need lots of time before she bonds to the person who adopts her. She was not socialized at all outside of her previous home. Davina is not available to a home with children. She may take weeks or months to adjust to her new home/the people in it, but we think once she does, she's going to be an incredible little companion. She should be considered a flight risk until she bonds to her new person.

Story
1/2025: CHARLIE (FORMERLY FALKOR) WAS RETURNED TO US WHEN HIS ADOPTIVE MOTHER BECAME ILL AND HAD TO MOVE IN WITH HER SON. HER SON WAS HIGHLY ALLERGIC SO CHARLIE WAS NOT ABLE TO GO WITH HIS MOM. CHARLIE WAS ADOPTED IN 2019 ORIGINALLY, MAKING HIM APPROX 6-7 YEARS OLD NOW. CHARLIE IS CRATE TRAINED BUT STILL HAS ACCIDENTS WITH BEING TOTALLY HOUSEBROKEN SO HIS ADOPTER WILL NEED TO CONTINUE TO WORK WITH HIM ON THAT (WITH HIS MOM HAVING HEALTH ISSUES, SHE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE CONSISTENT WITH HIM). CHARLIE BECOMES VERY ATTACHED TO HIS PERSON AND CAN BECOME PROTECTIVE OVER THEM SO NO SMALL CHILDREN. ONLY ADULTS OR OLDER KIDS WHO UNDERSTAND AND ARE ABLE TO GIVE HIM HIS SPACE WHEN HE WANTS IT. CHARLIE DOES FINE WITH OTHER DOGS AND SHOULD BE FINE WITH CATS AS WELL. CHARLIE SAW THE VET RECENTLY AND WAS UPDATED ON ALL OF HIS YEARLY VETTING. VET STATED THAT HE COULD BENEFIT FROM A DENTAL, AS HE HAS STARTED TO DEVELOP DENTAL DISEASE AND THEY RECOMMENDED A THYROID TEST BECAUSE HE HAS SOME PATCHY AREAS ON HIS COAT BUT NO APPARENT REASON FOR IT. IT COULD BE RELATED TO HIS THYROID OR POSSIBLY JUST STRESS FROM LOSING HIS FAMILY AND BEING SHUFFLED AROUND. CHARLIE IS A SWEET LITTLE DOG WHO JUST NEEDS HIS FOREVER FRIEND TO COMPLETE HIS LIFE. HIS ADOPTION FEE IS $200. ORIGINAL BIO: Falkor is approx 1 year old and appears to be a dachshund/chihuahua mix. Falkor was abandoned by his owner when they moved and we were contacted to help find him a forever home. He was described as skittish but we have not found him to be a skittish boy. When we got him, he was covered in fleas and ticks and clearly had not been taken very good care of. He is friendly and sweet. He has done great with the other dogs and we dont see him as having any issues with kids and cats either but he is a small dog so he probably should not be rehomed with overly rambunctious children or children who like to grab for his and their safety. Falkor just needs a family who will love him and not discard him. Someone who wants to be with him like he wants to be with you. Falkor's adoption fee will be $200 and will help to cover his neuter, vetting and cost of daily care while with us. We will be contacting the vet this week to get him a neuter date. If interested in giving Falkor a forever home, please submit your adoption application and interest via email or call us at 352-493-1255 for more information or to set up a meet and greet.
