Story
Cheech (black and tab) and Chong (tan wire haired) are two Chihuahua Mix boys who seem to have been abandoned by their owner. They were covered in fleas and terrified! But after a nice warm bath and attention, they are coming around. We estimate that they are young adults. They are now vaccinated, neutered, dewormed and microchipped. Small dog experience encouraged. If you are able to give them a stable, loving home, visit www.wtfarmtn.org/adopt Click here to visit their photo album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=wtfarmtn&set=a.875165511459102

Story
This adorable little guy is Apollo. He is an 11-month-old chihuahua mix and weighs just 9.3 lb. Apollo is at a foster home, not at our shelter. His foster says "Apollo is a cute little guy always looking for love. He is fine with my dogs...mostly ignores them. He really wants to be with his people. Apollo loves nothing more than to be held or to sit on your lap. He walks well on a leash as he just wants to be with you. Apollo is working on his outside potty skills." He is going to make someone a wonderful companion. We don't know what Apollo thinks of cats but can cat-test him if needed. Apollo is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and healthy. His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Apollo, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms

Story
CHICO IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Chico is easily the sweetest fun-loving dog ever. He is happy-go-lucky, he is extremely smart and is eager to please his human. He is about 8-10 years old and 13lbs. Chico loves to cuddle with his person. He knows sit, come, back, find “whatever you ask him”. Chico is house trained and crate trained. He recently had a dental. Chico is a good eater. He is polite and loves meeting new people. Chico was an only dog in his original setting, walked into his multi dog foster home and immediately became the cruise director. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes. His favorite foster sibling are the pretty larger females! Chico is crate trained and house trained. He sleeps with his foster mom or in his open crate – his choice. Chico loves lap time. The best home for Chico will have a secure fence. Kids over 10 and with excellent doggy manners would be okay. Another well temperamented dog would be fabulous. An excellent history of vet care for current or previous pets is required. Previous specific breed experience will be given preference. He is fully vetted including spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Chico up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Chico here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501c3 virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.    Looking Glass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) virtual rescue, using a network of dedicated fosters throughout Louisiana and the Northeast to care for our animals until adoption.  You may be required to travel if approved for adoption.   Meet Miss Bunny!  This precious girl with her adorable little face and slight underbite was found surviving on her own on a military training base, clearly dumped, but at least somewhere they knew she would be found. We believe she's been part of a family for at least a short time in her life based on her love of people and the her awesome behavior.  Miss Bunny is now with a favorite foster family of ours in Louisiana and thriving!  She loves people, especially children of all ages, and is extremely affectionate with those she meets.  Miss Bunny loves the other dogs in the home, both large and small, so much so that we believe she will do best in a home with children and dogs to pal around and play with. Though playful, she also makes time to be a couch potato when the mood strikes!  She's an all around easy going, laid back girl but has a playful streak!  Unfortunately, she has not yet met cats yet so we can't say how she would react.  Miss Bunny is crate trained and house trained (she does still need to be watched when outside so she takes care of business rather than getting sidetracked by all the fun people and dogs).  Of course, as a young dog, Miss Bunny will need all the necessary training to become the best adult dog she can be.  She will also need time to adjust to her new home and environment and get to know any fur siblings she may have.  This little girl is between 9 - 11 months, 11 pounds, and nearly full grown.  Miss Bunny is full of playfulness and fun - just waiting to share her joie de vivre with her new family - might that be you?!   Applications for Miss Bunny can be submitted through https://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/.  Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  All applications are subject to review and approval and a tax-deductible adoption donation is required to be paid prior to adoption day.   Please note that you must be 25 years of age to adopt and we reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone.  Please be advised that we will not approve adoptions to persons who mislead or fail to provide accurate information on this application.  Incomplete applications will not be processed. Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)       Lucía is a 9-month-old puppy who loves being snuggled. Her personality is a mix of adventurous and loving. She enjoys sleeping in the same bed as her foster. She sleeps through the night and behaves very well. Initially, she can be a bit shy, but with time, she opens up and welcomes you with lots of love. She is a bit small in size, weighing 8 pounds, and she won’t grow any bigger. As her foster, my biggest wish is for her to be adopted along with her little brother, Lolo, because they love each other so much. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
