Story
Cheech (black and tab) and Chong (tan wire haired) are two Chihuahua Mix boys who seem to have been abandoned by their owner. They were covered in fleas and terrified! But after a nice warm bath and attention, they are coming around. We estimate that they are young adults. They are now vaccinated, neutered, dewormed and microchipped. Small dog experience encouraged. If you are able to give them a stable, loving home, visit www.wtfarmtn.org/adopt Click here to visit their photo album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=wtfarmtn&set=a.875165511459102

Story
Meet Lisa Louise! She is a 7 pound Chi- Terrier mix around 4 or 5 years old. She is shy and timid at first, but once acclimated she loves to cuddle covered in cozy blankets. She doesn't mind other dogs but can get a bit bossy around them - typical Chihuahua😄. She is very loyal who is gentle and quiet. She has a funny side to her as well. Because she likes her quiet space, she would prefer home without smaller children. She is house trained, enjoys going for long walks, and doesn't even need a crate as she behaves just like a lady when left alone. In a new home she will need some extra time as she is very stressed about new surroundings and people. With love and patience, she will make a fantastic companion. If would like to meet this sweetheart please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Lisa Louise is located in Huntsville, Alabama, with possible transport to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Story
Chico is very quite and reserved. He is leashed trained, crate trained, and house broke using the doggie door. He is into mens company more so than a woman. Doesn't bark, doesn't show no aggression, like a perfect little gentleman. Gets along with other dogs and doesn't make a fuss about anything. He likes sleeping in the human bed & is always ready for any snacks he can get. Looking for a home to spend his happy self with forever home. Chico is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested positive for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! CHICO IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Chico is easily the sweetest fun-loving dog ever. He is happy-go-lucky, he is extremely smart and is eager to please his human. He is about 8-10 years old and 13lbs. Chico loves to cuddle with his person. He knows sit, come, back, find “whatever you ask him”. Chico is house trained and crate trained. He recently had a dental. Chico is a good eater. He is polite and loves meeting new people. Chico was an only dog in his original setting, walked into his multi dog foster home and immediately became the cruise director. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes. His favorite foster sibling are the pretty larger females! Chico is crate trained and house trained. He sleeps with his foster mom or in his open crate – his choice. Chico loves lap time. The best home for Chico will have a secure fence. Kids over 10 and with excellent doggy manners would be okay. Another well temperamented dog would be fabulous. An excellent history of vet care for current or previous pets is required. Previous specific breed experience will be given preference. He is fully vetted including spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Chico up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Chico here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
**BOBBIE IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED** Bobbie is a 2-year-old terrier-Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home.   Bobbie is incredibly smart, obedient, LOVES TO LEARN new things and eager to please. She adores cuddles and will melt your heart when she lays her head on your chest for some quality snuggle time. Bobbie's playful side is just as awesome. She loves toys of all kinds, enjoys the company of other dogs, and greets every human she meets with tail wags and kisses. Though we're unsure of her feelings towards cats, I'd be willing to bet she would love them too. Bobbie would thrive in a home where she gets plenty of love and attention. She's docile, sweet natured, and remarkably quiet - barely barks at all. Bobbie is kennel, leash, and house trained, fully vetted, spayed and microchipped.   Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transportation to her new home in CT. New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Bobbie to her new home upon adoption.  You can apply to adopt Bobbie here: https://newbeginningsanimalrescue.net/adoption-application      THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 2, 2025, 6:44 am
