Cheech (black and tab) and Chong (tan wire haired) are two Chihuahua Mix boys who seem to have been abandoned by their owner. They were covered in fleas and terrified! But after a nice warm bath and attention, they are coming around. We estimate that they are young adults. They are now vaccinated, and will be neutered, dewormed and microchipped before their adoption. Small dog experience encouraged. If you are able to give them a stable, loving home, visit www.wtfarmtn.org/adopt Click here to visit their photo album: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=wtfarmtn&set=a.875165511459102

Story
Here is "Penny". Penny is a 6 month old black Chihuahua and she weighs 5 pounds. Penny's owners moved to Florida but, before they moved, they gave Penny to someone. That someone now does not want Penny because he works all day and does not have the time to take care of her. Penny is not trained because, between Penny's previous owners and her owner now, no one took the time to train poor Penny. Penny needs someone who does not work all day and someone who has patience and will give her the time, attention and guidance she needs. Penny is a happy, happy, happy little girl! She gets along with everybody she meets, be it an animal or a human! In Penny's new home, children must be 6 years or older. You must own your own home. No condos. No apartments. Penny got spayed, she got her 4 in 1 shot, she got her rabies shot and she got her distemper shot. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Penny is $350.00. No credit cards. If you are interested in Penny, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Penny on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Penny will be looking for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

CHICO IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!   Chico is easily the sweetest fun-loving dog ever. He is happy-go-lucky, he is extremely smart and is eager to please his human. He is about 8-10 years old and 13lbs. Chico loves to cuddle with his person. He knows sit, come, back, find “whatever you ask him”. Chico is house trained and crate trained. He recently had a dental. Chico is a good eater. He is polite and loves meeting new people. Chico was an only dog in his original setting, walked into his multi dog foster home and immediately became the cruise director. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes. His favorite foster sibling are the pretty larger females! Chico is crate trained and house trained. He sleeps with his foster mom or in his open crate – his choice. Chico loves lap time. The best home for Chico will have a secure fence. Kids over 10 and with excellent doggy manners would be okay. Another well temperamented dog would be fabulous. An excellent history of vet care for current or previous pets is required. Previous specific breed experience will be given preference. He is fully vetted including spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all puppy vaccinations. His adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Chico up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Chico here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:30 pm

Story
This adorable little guy is Mickey. He was found locally and needs a new home asap. Mickey is estimated to be 3-years-old and he weighs just 13 lb. We think he may be a chihuahua/beagle mix. Mickey is a sweet but very shy and nervous little dog. He needs to take new experiences slowly and takes time to warm up to people, but does allow for handling. He will need a dog-savvy, patient owner and might appreciate a slower, quiet household where he can really decompress and start to come out of his shell. Mickey would do best with teens and up and seems more comfortable around smaller dogs versus large ones. We can cat-test him if needed but we expect he would be fine with a cat. If you have a big heart for dogs that need some TLC, please consider taking Mickey home. He will be so much happier out of the loud kennels. Mickey is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. His adoption fee is $395. If you would like to meet/adopt Mickey, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms or stop by at our shelter Wednesday-Sunday between 12 and 6 PM. The DAWS shelter address is 147 Grassy Plain St. Bethel. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions.
