Story
Hi my name is Graham. I was adopted from the rescue 5 years ago, but along the way I decided I wanted to live the bachelor lifestyle, kids and other dogs are not for me!  I'm 7-10 years ago and a very handsome chiweenie.  I am looking for a quieter home where I can enjoy 1-2 adult humans' company. I am very cuddly and sweet and love to snuggle. I am very smart. I walk well on leash, am mostly trusted off leash, and enjoy a short run or hike. Like a lot of dogs my size, I bark at other dogs on leash, but usually am fine once I can get close to them and give them a good sniff. I dont mind hanging with other dogs outside of the house, but inside I want to be your one and only and get lots of attention! Looking for someone to sit on your lap? Look no further!  If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $150 and I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations ##957049##

Story
Queen recently arrived in Colorado and she is SUCH a love! If you are looking for the sweetest, cuddliest, mellow small pup who LOVES lap time, here she is!! Queen ended up at a Texas kill shelter with 6 other siblings. She was then saved and made her way into a foster home getting medical treatment and love before making her way up to Colorado. - Queen is the happiest pup who will gladly follow you around the house wagging her tail the whole time - She is great with other dogs of all sizes, though she doesn’t want to play with them - She would likely do well in a home with or without other dogs - she really just wants to be with her people - Loves to snuggle, lap time is her favorite! - She can run up and down stairs like a champ, but she also enjoys being carried around like the little queen she is - She is crate trained, potty trained, and trustworthy in the house! - We are working on basic commands, so far she has learned to sit and comes when called! - Walks nicely on leash, has some pep in her step 💕 - New people scare her at first and she needs slow introductions to feel safe. She barks and growls if strangers try to come up to pet her (can you blame her?!). We are working with her on this, and once she trusts you she loves you fully and is the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet! She is doing wonderfully with training and needs a patient and committed adopter who will continue to help her thrive as she navigates her new life. - She seems healthy and active, we would not guess she is 10 years old. She is quick and spry and looks like a cute little puppy. - She is the perfect mellow girl and will be happy just lounging on a lap most of the day! Queen’s ideal home: - Low traffic - No young children, loud noises and sudden movements are scary when you’re such a small pup - A house with no shared walls is ideal as she is a bit vocal when scared of strange noises, but fosters are working with her on this. She may be fine in an apartment over time. - If the home has a yard, she needs a fully secure fence as she is petite and can fit through small spaces. But the fence doesn’t need to be tall :) Comes with 2 free dog training sessions! Comes fully vetted!

Story
Del Rio and San Antonio were found together as strays living in Texas.  It's clear that these two were dumped and left to fend for themselves on the dangerous streets.  We are guessing that Del Rio is San Antonio's Momma, but we can never be sure.  Del Rio seems to be about 2-3 and San Antonio we are guessing is about a year old. San Antonio is much more outgoing than her Momma.  She love everybody and everything.  She loves to swim, play, and snuggle.  Del Rio is a little more reserved but with the help of San Antonio she comes out of her shell.  They play together and love each other so much. We are requiring that they stay a bonded pair and be adopted together. These two are professional snugglers.  They will have to go to a family who will let them sleep in bed.  They all get in bed together and their fosters hold up the covers and both girls dive under the covers and snuggle up until morning.  They are just precious! If you are interested in adopting these two girls, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com.  Their adoption fee is $595.00 for BOTH of them   ##2196193##
