Story
Meet Spuds: The Low-Key LovebugSpuds, a 15-pound Dachshund-Chihuahua mix (or Chiweenie), may act a little shy at first, but don’t be fooled—he’s simply waiting for you to realize his worth and shower him with the love and pets he deserves. Once you do, this sweet and friendly fellow is all in, ready to bond and show off his gentle charm.Spuds enjoys the company of other dogs and loves dashing around the play yard, sniffing out every new discovery in his blossoming world. He’s still learning how to walk on a leash, but his love of treats will make training a breeze. Spuds is an understated gem, quietly waiting for a family who will adore him and show him how truly wonderful life can be. Could you be his perfect match?- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Hi there, I'm Nemo, and I am a senior dog with lots of love and affection to give! I was returned to the rescue that I was adopted from as a puppy, when my momma passed away unexpectedly. I am mostly deaf at this point, but I don't let that stop me from being the best Neighborhood Watch Commander and letting my humans know about stuff happening outside. I am a very affectionate dog, I love food, and I enjoy being snuggly and getting belly rubs. Even though I'm a senior, I still have a lot of energy and love to go on walks. I am a very good dog who is good with most other dogs and with cats, and I am very loyal to my human friends and want to be with them constantly. I am a sweet and gentle dog who is hoping to find a loving home where I can live out my golden years. I have so much love to give and I am eager to find my forever home. If you're looking for a companion who will love you endlessly, look no further than me, Nemo! I can't wait to meet you and start our life together.

Story
JuJuBe is a quiet and shy nine-year-old senior dog who has spent most of her life as a breeding dog. She is good with other dogs who are appropriate with small seniors and would benefit from a calm, quiet home where she can relax and enjoy her golden years. She ignores the cats that she currently lives with. Due to her shy and quiet nature, JuJuBe would do best in a home without small children. She would benefit from a patient and experienced adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and loved. Even though she prefers to not be touched at this time, JuJuBe LOVES snacks and treats and will greet her trusted humans with a tail wag and an occasional bark. JuJuBe has no leash skills and would prefer a secure yard (no matter how small) for her trips outside. We hope that you will consider giving JuJuBe the loving home she deserves.
