Story
Snowflake needs a stay-at-home mom. She can't be crated for more than 4 hours. It would be best if she was the only dog in the house. She is so loveable and could sit in your lap or arms all day. Shes great on road trips too. She scares easily. Which makes her pee. She is pad trained and can be outside with no issues. (to pee) she LOVES to take walks, and she loves shopping with you too. She would make a great ESA

Story
Izzy is a very happy taking walks everyday and is leash trained. She is a picky eater and I put chicken broth in her dog food but she rather have chicken and veggies. She loves to be on top fluffy pillows and sink under the blankets. She barks at intruders and also guests but calms down. If you take her out regularly she won’t have an accident I let her sleep and stay inside on a wood floor during work in an area with out rugs or outside if warm enough. She really needs to be the only dog as she claims the attention of her owner. She is very much a good companion to someone who can give her the opportunity to be on their lap or by there side constantly. My elderly mom is coming to live with us and I am trying to accommodate her so I need to relocate Izzy.

Story
Allow me to introduce myself: I am Waylon, a ten-pound Chihuahua with a distinctive personality. Having taken it upon myself to pen this profile, I believe there is no one better suited to capture my essence than I. As a mature Chihuahua, I have established certain preferences and routines. I am particular about my surroundings and activities. Though I am almost fully housetrained, exposure to the elements is not to my liking; I prefer the comfort of indoor environments. My inclination for using pavement rather than grass for my outdoor needs stems from my early years, where grassy terrains were not a part of my routine. My leash manners are impeccable, showcasing my disciplined nature. In keeping with the spirited nature of my breed, I possess certain assertive traits. I occasionally nip to assert my position, though it is never with the intention of causing harm. This behavior serves as a reminder of my presence and status. While I can be tolerant of being picked up by those I trust, this tolerance has its limits. Prolonged handling can elicit a strong reaction. Despite this, I often seek the comfort of being lifted again after some time, demonstrating my complex nature. I am a vigilant guardian, alert to the presence of strangers and potential threats such as mail carriers and passing neighbors. My protective instincts make me an excellent watchdog. In interactions with larger dogs, I may display a confident demeanor. However, these interactions never escalate as my small stature is evident, and my assertiveness is more performative than confrontational. Food is a significant motivator for me. I am quick and agile when it comes to securing treats, often outpacing my foster mom's distribution efforts. My enthusiasm for food is a testament to my spirited nature. Despite my independent streak, I am affectionate with my chosen person. I prefer to rest at the foot of the bed or nearby on the couch rather than demanding constant lap time. My presence is a quiet and comforting companionship. I have specific needs and preferences for my forever home: Frequent Visitors: Not suitable. Large Family: Not suitable. Small Children: Not suitable. Inexperienced Adopter: Not suitable. I seek an adopter with ample patience and an appreciation for the distinct personality of Chihuahua mixes. If you meet these criteria, I could be the steadfast companion you’ve been searching for. Adopt Waylon: If you are prepared to welcome a spirited, small dog with a big personality into your life, consider giving Waylon a forever home.   Please fill out an adoption application for the dog(s) you’re interested in. Story
I adopted Toby from a city shelter in February 2024. He was approximately 1 year old at that time and had been in shelters for 3 months and was a stray prior. He has many strengths - potty trained quickly, very quick to learn commands (sit, heal, loose leash walking, working on leave it and did I mention stay - no, haha. Keep reading and it will make sense why!). He has learned to socially greet most small dogs, however many large, and especially running dogs, trigger fear/barking. His biggest strength (which at times becomes the largest challenge) is his love for people. Children who treat him gently, adults (men and women) and elderly - all are his delight! He has a moderate level of energy (likes and needs his park walks) but loves to snuggle and shadow his people most of the day. And there is the challenge - he has severe separation anxiety. This is the factor in whether he and you will make a good match. If interested, please reply and I can address this more.

Story
Meet Duke, the heart-stealing, senior Chihuahua mix who's had quite the journey to find his forever sofa—er, home! This little guy is 16 years young and 18 lbs of pure love, with all of the spirit of a much younger pup (minus the puppy hassles.) Once he’s made himself at home, Duke’s house manners are impeccable — in fact, he’s a bit of a homebody and would prefer to chill on the couch with you than go out. He does enjoy a daily walk, and is a total PRO on a leash.     When it comes to socializing, Duke is a real charmer with a solid gold record with dogs, cats and humans. Oh, and while he's got no interest in guarding resources, he does have a bit of an obsession with his food bowl—and your proximity to it. He’s highly food motivated and extra responsive to vocal commands if there’s a treat involved.   Our boy isn’t much of a barker, but he’ll let you know if someone’s tiptoeing around the yard. And while he might not hear as well as he used to, that just means he's not bothered by loud noises—what a champ! Just a heads up: avoid touching his feet; he's not a fan.   Energy-wise, Duke's all about the easy life. A stroll in the yard or a short walk will do, and then it’s straight back to snuggling up.    The ideal home for Duke? He needs an adult human who's more into relaxing than running and who appreciates the finer, quieter moments in life. While a companion dog isn’t necessary, having someone around most of the time is essential for him. Preferably no - or minimal - stairs.   Ready to let this lovable gentleman into your heart and home? Story
Mia is a beautiful tri-color three year old Chihuahua mix girl (weighing 14 lbs.) who has the sweetest personality. She loves attention and being your little companion. She came to us from a family who was unable to afford and properly take care of their dogs. The family had four Chihuahuas. This little angel is kennel-trained, leash-trained, loves car rides, and living life to its fullest. Mia has a lovely temperament. She loves playing with other dogs, running after stuffed toys, chewing on collagen chews, and is appreciative of this second chance at life. She has NEVER had any puppies, or have any issues with separation anxiety, resource guarding, she is an easygoing wonderful girl!!! Mia loves to be held, and would flourish in a family of her own. We look forward to her future happy ever after SOON! Mia has been examined by our vet, and given three dhpp vaccines, rabies, bordetella, canine influenza, & leptospirosis vaccines. Mia DOES NOT have any heart murmur, luxating patellas, skin, or allergy issues. She is given Simparica Trio on the first of every month for heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All vaccines are given by our outstanding vet & vet techs. We email all veterinary records prior to adoption. Mia is dewormed every two weeks. This precious pup is spayed & microchipped. We provide our rescued puppies and dogs with the highest quality veterinary care as our own pets receive. Proper veterinary care is our number one PRIORITY and it shows in the health of our rescued puppies and dogs.
