** I`m shy; a quiet home would be ideal for me ** ** I have lived with other dogs ** I may need time to adjust to my new home ** Meet Mocha!  She’s a sweet and fun lady that loves to snuggle.  She’s a little shy at first but shows her lovely personality with just a little time.  Mocha gets along great with cats and dogs and would love to find a home with other friendly pets.  She doesn’t have very many teeth so will require a wet food diet.  She enjoys short walks and can be trusted in the house by herself. Please contact Mocha`s foster mom, Kristen, at csfostermom@gmail.com to inquire about Mocha or set up a visit. Please allow up to 24 hours for Kristen to respond.

Story
You thought you and your best friend were an adorable duo? Well, you haven’t met Deuce and Chucho, brothers from different mothers!Deuce (red sweater) came to the shelter late September after being found as a stray, taking himself for a walk. His former owner had rehomed him but unfortunately, no one came forward for this sweet boy. In the shelter, he was handling himself ok…..meaning he was ‘surviving’ but not thriving. During his medical exam, he became quite agitated with the staff, trying to bite them during exams. It was ultimately discovered that he has a low-grade heart murmur and a lipoma (fatty, benign lump) on his chest. Deuce doesn’t let either of these things affect his daily life. Because of his crankiness in the shelter, he went into foster care where he could have the time to open up more. Once in a home, Deuce instantly relaxed and is quite the lovely companion.Chucho also came to the shelter around the same time as an owner surrender due to financial hardship. Unfortunately, not much is known about Chucho’s previous life. What is known is that Chucho was incredibly distraught about being in the shelter; he tried to bite staff, was quite fearful, and began to shut down. Lucky for him, a loving and patient foster home was waiting for him.By happenstance, Deuce and Chucho ended up in the same foster home within a matter of days and it was love at first sniff! These two boys, who had never met before, had an instant bromance and because of such, they will be adopted as a pair to finish their golden years together. Deuce is the more confident and outgoing one of the two, while Chucho is the more shy but energetic one. Deuce can be pushy for attention while Chucho will love you with all his tiny being from afar. He loves interacting with humans and will wiggle his little butt faster than you’ve ever seen – he just isn’t sure how he feels about petting and touches (he wants them but seems uncomfortable). Chucho will need a patient home to help him feel safe. Both boys are food motivated, LOVE to snuggle in bed, and are overall housebroken (though they both have a bad habit of marking in the house. Belly bands are great to help combat this!). In their foster home, they live with large and small dogs (they prefer their own size); cats; foster kittens; rabbits; and a toddler. They would do best with children who can respect their space. Please contact Deuce and Chucho’s foster parents, Allison and Joshua, at waldvogel0

Story
Hi there, I'm Nemo, and I am a senior dog with lots of love and affection to give! I was returned to the rescue that I was adopted from as a puppy, when my momma passed away unexpectedly. I am mostly deaf at this point, but I don't let that stop me from being the best Neighborhood Watch Commander and letting my humans know about stuff happening outside. I am a very affectionate dog, I love food, and I enjoy being snuggly and getting belly rubs. Even though I'm a senior, I still have a lot of energy and love to go on walks. I am a very good dog who is good with most other dogs and with cats, and I am very loyal to my human friends and want to be with them constantly. I am a sweet and gentle dog who is hoping to find a loving home where I can live out my golden years. I have so much love to give and I am eager to find my forever home. If you're looking for a companion who will love you endlessly, look no further than me, Nemo! I can't wait to meet you and start our life together.

Story
JuJuBe is a quiet and shy nine-year-old senior dog who has spent most of her life as a breeding dog. She is good with other dogs who are appropriate with small seniors and would benefit from a calm, quiet home where she can relax and enjoy her golden years. She ignores the cats that she currently lives with. Due to her shy and quiet nature, JuJuBe would do best in a home without small children. She would benefit from a patient and experienced adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and loved. Even though she prefers to not be touched at this time, JuJuBe LOVES snacks and treats and will greet her trusted humans with a tail wag and an occasional bark. JuJuBe has no leash skills and would prefer a secure yard (no matter how small) for her trips outside. We hope that you will consider giving JuJuBe the loving home she deserves.

Story
Lucy and Ricky are ten year old chihuahua mixes who came from the same hoarding situation. Lucy is a pretty friendly gal but Ricky takes just a minute to get used to new people. Once you scratch the top of his head he is good to go. Lucy just loves to lick and will take any opportunity she gets, even if it's a stranger. These two have about two teeth apiece after their dentals, so they eat soft food. They love treats and attention. Lucy will play with a toy when she is in the right mood, but mostly these two just need a lap for snugglin'. They do pretty well in the house when they are let out regularly. Ricky walks great on a leash. Lucy is a work in progress. They currently eat and sleep in kennels. Ricky is on a couple of heart medications, which he takes eagerly with some lunchmeat. Ricky is not fond of kids, and neither of them like big dogs who run around. They do great with other small dogs. We'd sure like to find them a home where they can spend their retirement together, since they do seem to prefer each other's company despite their brief periods of bickering, much like their namesakes. The fee to adopt them together is $400 fully vetted. Application can be found at fromforgottentoforever.com/adoptionapplication/.
