Story
Cheech - The Escape Artist Chihuahua About Cheech: 2-year-old male Chihuahua Neutered and microchipped Up-to-date on all vaccinations Outgoing and friendly with people, especially enjoys the company of children Prefers the company of smaller dogs, especially female pups High-energy and very clever - can climb chain link fences to escape, so will need a secure, high wooden fence no chainlink. Personality and Behavior: Cheech is a lively and affectionate Chihuahua with a big personality packed into a small body. He loves people and most dogs, though he tends to prefer the company of smaller pups, especially females. His clever and adventurous nature has earned him the nickname "Houdini" - he has an uncanny ability to climb to the top of chain link fences and then jump down to freedom. For this reason, he will need a securely fenced yard with a tall wooden fence (no chainlink) that he cannot climb. Cheech is house-trained and comfortable using a doggie door. He does well when crated, but will need close supervision to prevent any daring escapes when doors are opened. Tragically, Cheech's adventurous spirit once led him to kill a chicken after getting out, so he is not recommended for a farm or rural environment. However, Cheech seems to do well with children and could make a delightful companion in the right home, as long as his escape artist tendencies are carefully managed. Ideal Home: Cheech would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard and plenty of enrichment to channel his high energy. He would do best in a home without other large dogs, and one with responsible owners who can provide close supervision to prevent any unplanned adventures. An experienced Chihuahua owner or a home with dog-savvy children would be ideal for this clever and affectionate pup. ##2195191##

Extreme cuddler alert! Myriam is a 15ish pound Chihuahua mix. She LOVES people! She gets along with dogs and is very interested in playing with toys. She is housetrained and does great on a leash. She does have some separation anxiety and barks when left alone. She'll need someone patient that will work to make her feel comfortable being left home alone. I am a chihuahua and I am currently in foster care. Fill out an application to meet me today!

Story
Chino and Squirt are two dogs that were recently surrendered by their owner just before Christmas. They are almost one year old. Behavioral and Temperament Traits The dogs are described as "very sweet" and craving attention and love from anyone who shows them affection. They seem to be kennel trained and are housed together in a kennel and have access outside into a dogrun. However, they have not been inside a house since beine at the rescue, suggesting they may need some training and socialization to adjust to living indoors. Medical and Care Information Chino and Squirt are both neutered. They are also microchipped, which helps with identification and reunification if they were to become lost. The dogs are current on their vaccinations and shots, meaning their preventative medical care is up-to-date. Adoption Process The dogs are available for adoption through the organization Fureverdog Rescue in Fort Lupton. Interested individuals are encouraged to fill out an adoption application on the organization's website at www.Fureverdogdenver.com. For any questions or to arrange a meet-and-greet, please call Rescue at (720) 588-6809. In summary, Chino and Squirt are two young, sweet dogs that are in need of a loving home. They have basic training and medical care needs met, and are ready for adoption through the Fureverdogdenver organization. Potential adopters are advised to submit an application and reach out to the Rescue to learn more about these dogs.  They do not need to be adopted together. ##2260545##

Story
Please meet Blanche! This long-legged, wirey-haired, beauty queen is about a year old and around 6 lbs. She LIVES for human affection and has an adorable little dance and grin that she shows off when she gets it. Snuggling is the name of her game. She’s down for any TV binge session and at night time she burrows under the covers to keep snug as a bug in a rug next to her human. This is non-negotiable. Blanche loves having a yard and small, canine play friends. She isn’t a fan of the giant breeds in her foster home but she tolerates them well. She was adopted as a puppy and recently returned because life in the city in an apartment just wasn’t for her – it was scary. She will thrive in a quieter home with another small, playful, dog and a fenced in yard. Despite her love of snuggle time, she’s quite active and can often be found sprinting around the yard. She is chicken friendly and actually fancies herself quite a mouser in the coop. Blanche is being fostered in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/blanche/.
