I came into RezDawg with a big group of sibling pups, and although we’re now all in different foster homes, I’ve adjusted beautifully. It took me about a week to settle in, but now I’m thriving and so happy! I’m one of the best snugglers you’ll ever meet—my favorite place in the world is curled up next to my human, showering them with kisses. I even like to gently rest my paw on your hand just to remind you how much I love you. I get along with everyone: big dogs, little dogs, cats, and kids! I’m still learning how to walk politely on a leash, so a little patience goes a long way. I am fully house-trained and appreciate having a yard where I can take care of my business. When Wolverine came to me a few months ago, he was really sick. With vet visits, medication and time, he ‘s happy, full of love and ready for his forever home. Wolfy will be shy at first but he comes out of his shell when he feels safe. He likes sitting in your lap getting belly rubs and giving kisses. Due to his illness he hasn’t been introduced to a harness or leash much, so he’ll need more training. He’s trained with potty pads, but he’ll need training for outside. Wolfy is a blessing and so sweet. We’re excited to meet his new family. ##2567524##

Tom is an estimated five year old, 14 pound Applehead Chihuahua who was found with another Chihuahua Jerry, at an Autozone on the South side of San Antonio, Texas, racing across the parking lot to a hot dog stand for food. They were both covered in fleas and ticks, not neutered, and of course... no microchip. Tom is a mellow boy who loves to cuddle and snooze the day away. Put another way, he is very, very, very lazy- if allowed to sleep all day... he will. This is the perfect dog for someone out there! He is not one to play with dogs or toys. He loves human food (but watch your fingers). Tom will hang out with you in the bed if you pick him up to snuggle, otherwise he's pretty independent. He is good with other dogs, but doesn’t play, just coexists. He did have one friend- Jerry, the dog he was found with who has already been adopted in Colorado and would love to reconnect. Also good with kids. Tom is healthy, fully vaccinated and neutered now. His neuter was complicated because he's a double cryptorchid (both testicles never descended) and he required four rotten teeth to be extracted to prevent a painful infection. Tom is currently living in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting an adopter or open foster home in Colorado to bring him up and into their home- the next transport arrives January 9th! ***Tom is being posted on behalf of our partner rescue in Texas- the process and adoption will go through them. The adoption fee does not include the transport fee (usually $125-200).*** Red Fern Animal Rescue offers a two week foster to adopt trial in your home before finalizing the adoption to ensure the animal is the right fit for you, everyone in the home, human & animal, and vice versa. Red Fern Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based animal rescue in Denver that saves animals from abandonment and neglect in South Texas for new lives in Colorado. We primarily rescue dogs off the streets and from kill shelters in San Antonio. ##2616633##
