Story
Petey is a 4.5MO TEENY TINY Chihuahua mix weighing about 2lbs.  We are guessing Petey will be between 3-5lbs when full grown.  Petey came to us back in October with his 5 siblings who were all 3 times his size.  Since he was so small he ended up staying in our rescue an extra couple months to get big and strong.  He is such a healthy, happy little boy now, but still so, so small.  Requirements for Petey:  He will need another small dog to play with, he will need a yard because he LOVES being outside, and he will need someone who can treat him like a dog who likes adventures and socializing even though he is a micro pup because he is very brave and outgoing.  He will need to be in a home with kiddos over 10 years old.   Petey is the most amazing little puppy.  He LOVES to play with the other dogs in the home and gets along with everybody and everything.  He is smart, brave and social.  He is the most snuggly little pup and sleeps through the night snuggled up under his foster Momma's chin or under the covers are her little spoon.  He loves to play and romp around and is just a happy little pup.  He loves spending lots of time outside zooming around the yard with the other dogs.  He even likes the snow which is super rare for such a small little guy.  He acts like an adorable big dog in the tiniest little body.   If you are interested in adding Petey to your forever family, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2290923##

Story
Teddy is an older gentleman who has perfected the art of the snuggle. He loves short walks and is great with cats, dogs and kids. His favorite friends are close to his size so that he can play with him and his sweet face gets him lots of treats (he is partial to the liver flavored ones!) He absolutely loves people and attention. Teddy is approximately 12 years old but still has a lot of life to live. If you're looking for a chill guy to help you work from home or binge a Netflix show, he's the dog for you!

Story
Are you looking for a pint-sized bundle of energy and love to brighten your life? Look no further—Daisy is here! This charming little gal is a 2-year-old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix (our best guess!) who weighs in at just 14 pounds of pure cuteness. Daisy would do best with someone who’s ready for plenty of playtime, long walks, and cozy cuddle sessions. Whether you’re active retirees looking for a fun companion or a family looking for a small, loving pup, Daisy might be your perfect match! She does great with other dogs and would love a home with another dog. We don't know if Daisy has had any formal training. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young dog whose self-esteem will fly high while she masters her skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Our training requirement is to help every adoption be successful. At Farfel's Rescue, we believe in setting both adopters and dogs up for success. That’s why we offer a one-week trial period with every adoption. This allows you to make sure Daisy is the right fit for your family before making a lifetime commitment. Should it not work out, we offer a refund of the adoption fee within the trial period. Daisy has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. If you’re interested in adopting Daisy, please be sure to fill out our Farfel’s Rescue adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in Daisy, submitting our Farfel's Rescue adoption application is essential. Applications from other sites like Petfinder or Adoptapet don’t provide enough information for us to determine a great match for this very deserving pup. We appreciate your understanding! Let’s work together to give Daisy the loving home and happy life she deserves. Thank you for choosing rescue!

Story
This sweet little girl is Wanda, a 7-month-old, 9-pound Chihuahua / Pug mix with a heart full of love. Wanda came to us from New Mexico after her previous owner, who described her as a total sweetheart, was unfortunately injured and became disabled & unable to give her the life they had dreamed about together. Wanda is a gentle soul who doesn’t bark much and gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets. She’s already potty-trained and is a smart, eager-to-learn pup. She will thrive with a family that wants to teach her all of the beautiful things about the world. Wanda is ready to soak up all the love, cuddles, and training her forever family has to offer! To set Wanda up for a lifetime of happiness and success, her adopters will be required to sign up for a positive reinforcement/force-free training package. This will help her continue to grow into the amazing companion we know she can be. While she’s not yet spayed, Farfel’s Farm & Rescue will ensure this is taken care of at no cost through one of our trusted rescue vets. Wanda is up to date on her vaccinations and in good health. She is not yet spayed, but this will be done at one of Farfel's rescue vets at no additional cost to her adopter. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE**. If you're truly interested in adopting Wanda, please be sure to submit our adoption application. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many circumstances, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's Farm adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
*** If you are interested in Pearl, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ *** Meet Pearl! Pearl is a 7 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love to give. This brave little girl has endured some tough times, but her spirit remains as bright as her name. Pearl came to us from a rescue in Arkansas, where she ended up as an owner surrender after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her. Unfortunately, she wasn’t receiving the care she deserved, and she arrived covered in fleas, with a double ear infection, and significant hair loss from flea irritation. Pearl has since been treated, and has now arrived to Colorado healthy and happy and ready to find a home who would never let her get to that state again. From Pearl's foster: * * * * "Pearl has been such a joy to have in our home. Pearl is unbelievably sweet and calm, and she’s been doing so well with our family. She’s great with the kids (8 & 11) and even enjoys going with them to the school bus in the mornings. She walks beautifully on a leash, and after our little outings, she loves curling up in soft blankets for a good nap. Pearl is such a well-mannered girl. She doesn’t beg for food, she’s completely respectful of the house rules, and she’s not disturbed by the usual noise and activity in our home. She’s curious and calm, and she never chews or destroys anything. In fact, she rarely even barks so far! She loves being with people, whether it’s sitting in our laps, playing hide-and-seek with the kids, or just riding along in the car. She’s also friendly with every person and dog we meet in the neighborhood, which makes her an absolute pleasure to take out on walks. Pearl has been such a wonderful addition to our family while she’s been with us, and I know she’ll make her forever family just as happy. She’s loving, easygoing, and full of quiet charm. I can’t wait for her to find the perfect home where she’ll be as cherished as she deserves." * * * * Pearl would thrive in a home where she can continue to be loved and cherished as she deserves. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would love to share her life with a family who can offer her the comfort, stability, and companionship she's been missing. Pearl has been fully vetted, is up to date on her vaccines, and spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue

Story
Meet Penny, the adorable 20ish-pound lowrider with a heart as big as her love for life! This gorgeous pup started her journey chasing butterflies in New Mexico before hopping on an adventure to Colorado, where she's now awaiting her forever home. Penny adores being near her humans and thrives with the guidance of another dog, though with plenty of love and attention, she'd also make a great solo companion. Hugs and being told how pretty she is—because, well, she is! If you're ready to welcome a sweet, affectionate pup into your life, Penny is waiting to bring endless love and joy to your home. Story
Meet Nia! She is an easy going little dog. Her ideal day is spent with you on the couch, hanging out and cuddling. She is a sensitive older gal who doesn't like too much excitement or change to her routine. For this reason we recommend she be the only dog in the home (or possibly with one other small, calm older dog) and be in a child free home. She's a very sweet girl, she just needs a calm and consistent household! Despite being uncomfortable with dogs, she is passive with cats and shy but friendly with strangers. Put in an application at eapl.com Her adoption fee is $375 January 5, 2025, 10:06 pm
