Del Rio and San Antonio were found together as strays living in Texas. It's clear that these two were dumped and left to fend for themselves on the dangerous streets. We are guessing that Del Rio is San Antonio's Momma, but we can never be sure. Del Rio seems to be about 2-3 and San Antonio we are guessing is about a year old. San Antonio is much more outgoing than her Momma. She love everybody and everything. She loves to swim, play, and snuggle. Del Rio is a little more reserved but with the help of San Antonio she comes out of her shell. They play together and love each other so much. We are requiring that they stay a bonded pair and be adopted together. These two are professional snugglers. They will have to go to a family who will let them sleep in bed. They all get in bed together and their fosters hold up the covers and both girls dive under the covers and snuggle up until morning. They are just precious! Jude is an adorable 4lb, 10 year old Chihuahua. Jude may be 4lbs but is a little overweight and should realistically probably be about 3lbs, so he is the tiniest little man ever! Judes foster has nothing but great things to say about him. He is a little shadow and loves to follow his fosters around. He loves couch snuggles and car rides. His foster Momma says he loves to play on the bed before bedtime and sounds like a little broken lawnmower. He is good with cats and loves to snuggle in the bed with his fosters at night. He talks a big game when he meets big dogs (like most chihuahuas) but chills out within a couple minutes. He is pretty much just a sweet tiny little Chihuahua lookin' for love. Cam is a 8-9 year old, 6lb Chihuahua from Oklahoma. Cam was surrendered to a shelter because his family decided they didn't want to care for him anymore. He was set to be euthanized because the shelter was so overcrowded so a wonderful rescuer took him in until a plan could be made to get him to CO to true safety. He has been in Colorado for a couple weeks now and is ready to find a forever family of his own just in time for the holidays. Cam is the definition of a shadow dog. He loves to follow his foster Momma around anywhere and everywhere. He loves to be held and snuggled at all times. He would be so perfect for a lower key person who just wants a snuggle bug to hang out with during the days and sleep wtih at night. He would obviously need daily little walks/outings like every dog to keep their mental health strong, but he really just wants to be held as much as possible. Sammie is a 3.5 MO pup weighing about 4lbs. Sammie and his 5 siblings made their way to CO from New Mexico where they were part of a hoarding case. There were over 20 adult dogs, many pregnant, and multiple litters of puppies. They were very neglected the first few weeks of their little lives. When they arrived in CO we were able to get them to vet and and to get them on the road to health. Surprisingly, these pups are some of the most social pups we have ever had. They love everybody and everything. Every new human they meet they instantly love, and they love to play with each other and other dogs. We don't know these puppies actual breeds, but being only 2-4lbs (depending on the pup) and already over 3 months old we are guessing they will be about 8-15lbs when full grown. They look like little Dachshunds or Chihuahua's but again, it's all a guess so we don't know for sure. What we do know is these kiddos are as cute as can be and their personalities are to die for....every. single. one. of. them. Biko is a sweet little guy that is still learning what life is like outside of the shelter. He prefers to stay near his people or dog friends. He gets along with dogs and cats, but is a little nervous around bigger dogs. He is teaching how to walk on a leash but with a little more work, he would be a good walking buddy. He is house trained but needs some help on how to communicate when he needs to go out, so we go outside on a regularly while we are tell learning on our communication. We are working on crate training since that is not his very place right now, but with a very fluffy bed and an enclosed crate, he will sleep in there all night.
