Story
He has soulful eyes! It’s just something special in his eyes. He will melt your heart. Anderson is a total sweetheart and loves to hang around you and do whatever you’re doing. He’s a major cuddle bug, enjoys sunbathing, patrolling the backyard, loves sitting right next to me while I’m reading or watching TV. He walks up to anybody he meets, man, woman, dog doesn’t seem to matter to him. He's so easy-going. I don’t think he would have any problems with a cat. I wouldn’t advise younger children, though, because he is older and more fragile. He is very food motivated. This little guy weighs about 12 pounds and he is of an unknown age, is probably a deer Chihuahua mix, he’s vaccinated, microchip, crate trained, housebroken and pee pad trained. The vet has been unable to neuter or do a dental on this little guy because of his poor health. Anderson does have a grade 5 heart murmur, is mostly deaf, is bow legged and possible patella luxation, but none of that stops him from doing what he wants to do. He can run through my backyard like his tails on fire when he wants to. Will you be his last forever home? If interested, contact www.LittlePawsDoggieRescue.org You can also email LittlePawsDoggieRescue@gmail.com Come meet him and you’ll fall in love with him, like I did.

Story
Lil Buckaroo, or Bucky, is a 1 to 2 year old chihuahua mix of around 11 pounds and is looking to be the new member of your family! He is a sweet boy who loves human touch and will roll over on his back to get all the pets you can give him. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, and takes a few minutes to warm up, but once you have gained his trust, he will be your new best friend. Bucky is great with kids and cats, and even loves baths! He enjoys running around outside and playing with toys. Lil Buckaroo is housebroken, current on shots, neutered, crate trained and microchipped.

Story
Noogie is a tan chihuahua yorkie mix. She is around 14 years old and weighs 7lbs. She really needs very little. She'd much rather curl up on the couch and watch TV with you rather than go for a walk. She is trained to use a dog door but her sight is starting to go, so she would need a little help getting used to a new environment. She is fine with other dogs. She has not been around cats before but she is so relaxed that it should be no problem. Due to her age she should not be in a home with small children. Noogie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and housebroken, but she will need a dental on adoption. If interested please contact Lexann at lexann777@gmail.com.

Story
Meet the most adorable duo around, Alex and Bruno! Alex and Bruno are two gentle souls who are glued at the hip. They are the sweetest of boys who love nothing more than getting attention and giving kisses. Alex is the brown and white kiddo, he is estimated to be 8 years old and we think he is a chihuahua/dachshund mix. He weighs around 15lbs. Bruno is the tan and black kiddo, he is estimated to be 5 years old and we think he is a chihuahua/pug mix. He weighs about 23lbs. Both boys are a little chunky and would benefit from a diet and daily exercise to get them to a healthy weight. Alex and Bruno came to us from a local shelter after they were surrendered by their previous owner due to issues with the landlord. The pair has only been with us for a short time, but they have already won our hearts. Alex and Bruno are mellow guys who enjoy the simple things in life, staying cozy and eating yummy treats. They seem like they were well-loved house pets in their previous home and very much enjoy life indoors. They have quickly learned how great walks are and have been enjoying spending time sunbathing in the yard. They are well-mannered boys but don't seem to have been taught any tricks. They would make great companions for a senior person or couple or anyone looking for two cuddle-bug companions. Alex and Bruno could do well living with other easygoing pups but they also wouldn't mind being your two spoiled kiddos. Alex and Bruno have done well living with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction and proper supervision. Alex and Bruno previously lived with kids and could be wonderful additions to a family with kids 7 years or older. Alex and Bruno's previous owner said they are pee pad trained and they have been doing great transitioning to pottying outside. They likely would do best in a home with a yard, maybe with a dog door, to make the transition to a new routine easier. They have done well being crated together, sleeping through the night in their bed, and free-roaming in their foster mom's bedroom for short periods. Alex and Bruno are so ready for a fresh start with their fur-ever family. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!   Alex and Bruno's combined adoption fee is $500.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. November 25, 2024, 2:16 am
