Story
MEET SAMSON! This little 8-year-old boy needs a home! Samson is a Chihuahua mix on paper, but could have some Dachshund in him given his slender nose and longer body. He's got the most interesting color patterns and floppy ears. Whatever his mix, he's cute. Samson is a bit sky & timid at first, but once he gets to know you he will be happy for attention. He gets along great with other dogs, though is more submissive so should not be with an alpha dog. He already had a dental and is neutered, vaccinated & chipped. Samson weighs 10 lbs. He would do best in a quiet home with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. Please email for an application.

Story
**I qualify for the HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS NAME YOUR OWN ADOPTION FEE SPECIAL through the end of the year!**Meet Fawn! Fawn came to the SCSPCA with several of her friends. They grew up in a ‘hoarding situation’, meaning they were living in a less than desirable situation with several other animals. Because of this, they haven’t quite mastered many of the skills and behaviors that one would expect from ‘normal dogs’. We certainly hope that these guys go on to live well-adjusted lives and thrive in their adoptive homes, but there are a few extra things adopters need to consider when it comes to adopting one of these very special miracle dogs! If you would like to hear more about them, please call or stop by the shelter during our Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.

Story
WEIGHT: 17lbs Meet Gerald— This little guy came to us from a partner shelter and so far, is quite shy. He comes out of his shell in the meet-and-greet room but is still unsure about the outside world. So much so, that Gerald has proven himself to be a little bit of a flight risk and spent a morning roaming around Scott’s Valley while out in foster care. He’s safe and back in the shelter now and is looking for a quiet and low traffic home to help him acclimate and get used to life as a pampered pup! Because of his escape artist tendencies, we recommend a home with a fenced yard, or at the very least, a floor plan that allows him to be extra secure. Ready to take this handsome boy home for the holidays? If you’d like to meet him, feel free to call our adoptions desk or stop by during Browsing Hours: Wed-Sun 11-5.
