Story
Meet Fettuccini - aka Fetty! This 9lbs ball of fun is currently 6-7 months old and loves playing with his fellow foster brother and sisters! This is after proper introduction and things are taken slow when meeting small and large dogs. Fettuccini is also food and treat motivated, making this a great tool for training a young energetic pup! If interested in learning more about this dog & setting up a potential meet & greet, please fill out our adoption application. https://www.underdogheroes.org/applytoadopt

Story
How this pet arrived: Laverne was brought into care by a community member on January 22, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Laverne is a small, shy dog with a gentle soul, looking for a calm and patient home. She's a bit nervous in new environments and needs someone who will go at her pace and help her feel safe. Laverne came in with her sister Shirley (939713) and they're a package deal! They can often be found cuddled up in their dog bed together. With patience and love, Laverne will blossom into a loyal and loving companion! While listening to Laverne's heart, a "clicking" sound was heard, but no heart murmur was present. X-rays showed no heart abnormalities, but the "clicking" noise can sometimes be a potential indicator of future heart disease. If you're ready to give them the time and care they need, Laverne and Shirley will make your home complete! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 6.8 Age: 7yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Shirley was brought into care by a community member on January 22, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Shirley is a small, shy pup with a heart full of potential, looking for a quiet and understanding home. She's a little reserved at first and needs someone who will let her settle in at her own pace. Shirley came in with her sister Laverne (939712), and they're a package deal! Shirley does have some luxating patellas (knee caps that pop in and out of place) and mild to moderate dental disease, but this doesn't slow her down one bit! Shirley thrives in a calm environment and would benefit from a patient adopter who can help her build confidence. With time and care, Shirley will reveal her sweet and loving nature. Are you ready to give Shirley and Laverne the safe space they need to shine? They're waiting to meet you! Primary Color: Brown Weight: 5.46 Age: 6yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
*COURTESY POST* Jeffrey is a very special little boy who deserves a very special home, who will pamper him and spoil him, and can provide for his medication necessities. Jeffrey was rescued from the shelter after being given just hours to live as he was vocalizing and the shelter could not figure out why. He needed more care than they could offer. A rescue organization immediately stepped in to save his life. The very first night, they ended up at the hospital to have him checked out. As they could not find any answers as his diagnostics look normal he then went to a neurologist and specialist where he underwent more bloodwork, X-rays an MRI and CT scan. His results showed his growth plates are not fully closed, primarily in his neck, which was causing him great discomfort. His results also revealed he has hypothyroidism. Now that Jeffrey is on pain medication and thyroid medicine, his rescue says he’s a whole new dog! As he does have medical needs, his new parent(s) will need to financially be able to continue long term pain management and thyroid meds. Jeffrey is approximately 7 years old and weighs just 5 lbs. His rescue says he’s potty trained with a routine, cuddly and affectionate with his people, but can be comically spicy with strangers though can do no harm as he has little to no teeth. If you can offer Jeffrey the life he deserves and are searching for a cute little buddy with tons of personality, please reach out to be connected with his rescue.

Meet your New Best Friend! If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number). This deposit will go towards the adoption fee. After receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and list the doggie on our website as ‘Pending Adoption’. If you decide not to adopt one of our Amazing Dogs, the $50 is considered a compensation for the transportation costs. All our doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for babies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work and take care of the 250+ dogs in our shelter. Read more about why we charge adoption fees here: https://amazingdogs.org/adoption-fees/ If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via call or text.
