He’s only 10lbs currently and we don’t expect him to reach over 20lbs full grown. He’s essentially a pocket pittie with all the sugar and spice you’d expect from his breed blend. This adorable little guy is going to charm you with his stunning grey eyes and beautiful silvery grey coat. He’s pretty chill for a young boy but still has enough spunk to be fun. We know there’s someone out there who loves pitties but really needs a smaller size and Tucker is going to be the perfect fit for you! Can you believe this gorgeous boy was brought into the shelter as an underage baby? He went into foster care for awhile and is now back at our ranch making friends with a few of the other young dogs. Ranch staff are working on the training basics while we work to find Tucker his forever home. Tucker has been great with dogs his size but needs time to adjust to the bigger guys. He’s so small we think their size intimidates him. He’s a touch shy but loves human interaction so it doesn’t take long to win him over. He’s also very treat motivated which is helpful when working on his training skills. This sweet boy is adoption ready and simply waiting for the right family to see his pics and story and apply to make him theirs. Maybe that perfect family is you? They don’t know who they can trust and just need time to feel comfortable enough to show you what a sweetheart they really are. This is beautiful Adeline. An incredibly sweet little girl who will always be overlooked because of her shy nature. So shy that adoption events overwhelm her and so we are hoping social media will do the trick! Adeline wants a home of her own and if you give her the time she needs she will forever be your loyal little lap buddy. We can’t emphasize enough how nice this girl is and we hope we find the perfect patient person to give Adeline her chance. Adeline was previously adopted through our Pawsitive Change program 6 years ago. She was always shy but the program gave her the confidence and skills she needed to find an adoptive home. Her adopter LOVED sweet Adeline but sadly as her health began to fail she was moved into an assisted living facility where Adeline couldn’t go. Adeline is back with us and in foster care where she is thriving. Adeline is dog friendly and house trained. We know those are both frequent requests from potential adopters. She’s retained some of her Pawsitive Change skills and listens really well in her foster home. Once she knows you she will adore you and will park her little self right in your lap ready for any amount of attention you’re willing to give. We can see Adeline doing best in a calm adoptive home willing to give her the time she needs to settle in and trust. We wouldn’t recommend a home with young children as their energy levels will just overwhelm her. Buddy wants to be your buddy so so bad but he’s scared. He’s scared of this new world he’s not familiar with and he’s scared of all the change he’s currently experiencing after only knowing one home for many years. There’s one thing he’s not scared of and that’s other dogs. He’s absolutely a pack kinda dog and has done great in foster care with his canine friends. We are slowly building on his trust and he’s so patient. He allows all handling and we go slow. There isn’t a mean bone in this little guys body he just needs patient humans who will continue to go slow until he trusts. Buddy was part of a group of 13 senior pups who lost their long time rescuer when she went on hospice. She was no longer able to care for her animals and they all needed a soft place to land. All 13 are now in foster care with us and waiting for loving forever homes. Buddy is part of this crew and while we work to gain his trust we hope to find an equally patient adopter willing to give a shy sweet boy his forever home. Buddy gives the sweetest feather kisses and looks up at you with big round unsure eyes that are begging to be understood. While he is very nervous he absolutely wants to be in the rooms the humans are in and is starting to open up more in foster care even initiating play with some of the younger dogs. We know with time this little boy is going to trust completely and when he does he’s going to be completely devoted to the humans who gave him the time he needed. We feel Buddy would do best in a quiet and calm adoptive home with no small children. Fred may not be visibly perfect and he may no longer have the body of a young dog but his soul gives what his appearance can not. This boy loves with his whole entire heart! If his old bones would allow it he’d be in your lap every second of every day. He wants nothing more than to be with you and for him that time, that little bit of attention is enough. He’s the kindest old man and we are determined to find him a family who will give him the caring end of life he so deserves. A retirement filled with soft places he can rest his tired bones and more love that his larger than life heart can handle. Fred was part of a group of 13 senior dogs who lost their long time rescuer when she went on hospice. She was no longer able to care for her animals and they all needed a soft place to land. All 13 are now in foster care with us and waiting for loving forever homes. Fred is part of this crew and looking for a home that understands that he’s an old dog in an old dogs body and our goal is just to keep him comfortable and happy for the time he has left. Fred is significantly overweight. More to love right? But the reality is that extra weight puts a strain on his aging bones. We’ve got him on a reduced calorie diet plan and his future adopter should continue this diet in the future. Fred is also currently being treated for an eye issue and walks with a tilt to his head. The tilt is nothing we can fix and only adds to his old man charm. Fred will never be perfect but we can promise if you open your heart and open your home the love he’ll give in return will last a lifetime. We hope we can find him a kind human who will do just that! He has a very sweet and lovable personality, but is a little shy in the beginning. With a little patience he warms up quickly though and is very affectionate. Recently thought he got diagnosed with diabetes and needs two insulin shots a day. He is doing very good with them and can live comfortably with it if properly monitored. He is very quiet and mellow and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person or family.Tom is about 9 years old, neutered, vaccinated had a dental. The were left behind when their drug addicted owner got evicted. He had them tied up in a dark room of the house with our food or water. They were rescued by a kind neighbor who had too many dogs already at her place and couldn't keep them. She contacted us and fortunately space had just opened and we couldn't say no. Simba is very shy and fearful but super sweet and gentle. He will warm up to TLC and loves to be held. He needs a person that will understand his shy personality and can give him a quiet home and patience. He is about 6 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. He’s what’s considered a “throwback” meaning he’s larger than the breeds standard. Andy tips the scales at 14lbs. This means you’re getting a sturdy boy who isn’t as fragile as his smaller counterparts. Andy’s size is only equaled by his heart. He’s a lover and all about that human interaction. He will sweetly gaze into you eyes as you stroke his long locks and he adores any amount of affection you’re willing to give his way. Sadly we don’t know much about Andy’s history. He came into the shelter with a gash above his eye and they patched him all up. No owners came forward to claim him and such a sweet dog didn’t deserve to linger in a shelter environment. So we scooped him up and he headed into foster care where he is thriving. Andy does well with neutered, non-dominant and female dogs. He’s basically a big teddy bear motivated the most by love and affection. He’s working on his house training skills and is totally crate trained. At only 7lbs she doesn’t take up much space and she promises she’s as quiet as a mouse. Foxy was part of a group of 13 senior dogs who lost their long time rescuer when she went on hospice. She was no longer able to care for her animals and they all needed a soft place to land. All 13 are now in foster care with us and waiting for loving forever homes. Foxy is part of this crew and looking for the perfect retirement home to call her own. She isn’t perfect. No senior pup is. Her balance isn’t perfect and she walks with a head tilt and will circle a bit in new environments. But once she’s acclimated the circling is much less and she enjoys short little walks in her home and yard. She’s has a sweet and loving personality and is hopeful the right family will love her just the way she is and not expect the perfection that comes with youth.
