Meet Pearl, here is this sweet little girl’s story from her current foster (Sandi Pinedo). Hello there, I sold my business in December and Pearl was a stray that frequented the area. I witnessed her out on her own for about two months; I later found out from locals that she had been out on her own for approximately six months. It was starting to get chilly at night, and she was chasing cars out onto the highway. I tried trapping her myself with no luck, so I contacted a couple of ladies that I know. It took Deb and Theresa three days to trap this little wily pup! I've fostered her for three months now. She was so feral that we couldn't pet her for about three weeks. Now, she follows me around the house and prefers to be in my lap. She loves her bed (probably the first she has had) and has learned from my dogs how to play with toys! She gets along great with my two Jack Russells and my cat. She would do best in a home with another small dog, as she loves to play! Pearl loves to be outside, she uses potty pads indoors, and the doggie door at my house to go outside and do her business, however, she will always be a flight risk, so she will need a very secure back yard. She has been to two training sessions but does not like the leash. We are still working on that. Mace is a happy go lucky funny little guy that is great with dogs, probably cats due to being a puppy and kids over 6 that are respectful. He is a very playful 3-month-old Chihuahua Terrier mix pup and is a little sweetie pie. As with any pup potty training and behavior training needs to be consistent to raise the best doggie ever. He currently weighs around 4.2 lbs., and we are guessing may be around 15 pounds when fully grown. His adoption fee is $400 which includes microchip, dewormer, defleaed, age-appropriate vaccines, and his neuter which will take place soon.
