Story
Gizmo is very much a project dog that requires an experienced owner. He came to us from the very overcrowded Bakersfield area. While he was initially timid, this sensitive guy has learned to trust. He is in a playgroup with other dogs, which can be very sweet. He can fear bite if there is chaos and is overly stimulated, so he's not a coffee shop dog. He is an escape artist and needs a mindful owner regarding open doors and a secure fenced yard. If you are patient, kind, and open to giving a deserving small dog a loving forever home, he will be forever grateful.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Hutch is a  transfer from the SFSPCA. He was a bit overwhelmed by all the city noise and activity. He has settled in at the ranch and is such a sweetheart! This little guy is a true snuggle bug and couldn't be more adorable with his big Chihuahua ears and long graceful legs. Hutch has been with us for many years and is bonded to his kennel mate (brother?) Rickie. He's a senior guy now and has a few health conditions such as arthritis. He's an easy keeper though, and is more like a cat than a dog. He prefers to be indoors or laying in a sunny spot in the yard where it is quiet. He prefers napping to walking these days and is looking for a home with Rickie where he can live out his golden years. All of our animals are up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and have had a physical exam. At adoption we provide: veterinary records and vaccine certificates, castration certificate, lifetime lost animal support, one month’s worth of flea medication and heartworm medication, one week’s worth of food, a leash, a collar, an ID tag, and a familiar toy or blanket to help them settle in. We also provide lifetime basic positive training support.   If you would like to meet any of our animals, please complete our adoption application at www.azayaranchsanctuary.org or email info@azayaranchsanctuary.org. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Rickie is a shy guy that loves going for walks. He is even good with kitties! His mix is a mystery as he has long graceful legs and dainty little ears. His personality has really started to shine and he is a goofy little clown that shows his affection by rubbing his head against you. Rickie has been with us for many years and is bonded to his kennel mate (brother?) Hutch. Rickie is an easy keeper and is happy to nap the day away in a cozy or sunny spot. He still enjoys a stroll around the neighborhood and is fine with other dogs, although energetic puppies can be too much for him. Come meet this silly and entertaining little man today! THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING.   All info is provided by dogs caretaker we do not know this dog please verify all information prior to committing on this dog. PS...  I know the caretaker well and do believe what she says is true. I am seeking assistance for a medical/health evaluation and finding a forever home for a bi-color (black and tan) Chihuahua mix that was left with the front desk of a residential hotel located in Pleasanton. Details as far as I know: Owner has diabetes and will have a leg amputation surgery in Hawaii where owners' family is located. The owner left the bay area on Friday 7/12/2024 to move to Hawaii to be taken care of by family.  Per hotel staff, the owner was planning to leave the dog with a person and that did not work out. Thus, the owner surrendered the dog to the hotel housekeeper and front desk attendant before he got on a plane.  Dog was reported to be 8yrs old (Despite looking older, maybe 11 years). Appears to be in good spirits and no pain. Looks like double cataracts and one 1/4' cyst or lipoma located on right side approximately 1' laterally on her spine midway on her back. Needs dental work.  Dog friendly/indifferent on walks (not sure if vision plays a role). Only barks when needs to be let out for potty. And very easily walked on a loose leash. Enjoys car rides and sleeps through the night for 10 hours. Takes multiple naps per day. Does not consistently respond to name Kope (pronounced Ko-Pay meaning Hawaiian for Coffee).  Responds to whistle sound. Potty trained. No fleas. Poops daily. Eats two times per day. No food aggression observed. Approximate weight is 10-11lbs. Contact LBredfire@sbcglobal.net If you are interested in this dog WTF does require an approved application before sharing any of the caretakers info.  There is no fee for this dog who will require a vet visit.   This dog comes spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and more with an adoption fee/donation to Whiskers, Tails and Ferals in Napa, CA. Story
Scotty and Sully:These bonded brothers from another mother are a delight! Friendly, well-behaved and very loving, Scotty and Sully are looking for their forever home. They are great on the leash, and LOVE their walks, sleep through the night on their blankets and are house trained. Very affectionate, Scotty and Sully follow their person around the house and are also great when left alone. Barking only in response to a knock on the door, or curiosity (mostly Sully!) they love each other and humans, quickly making new friends. They cuddle up on the couch after breakfast each morning, and love car rides to see the wide world around them. They are terrific passengers! They have great appetites, love treats (especially turkey and chicken), and are perfect gentlemen.Sully dotes on his older brother, kissing and snuggling up with affection. He loves to chase flies, and only occasionally barks at squirrels, birds and other dogs he comes across in the backyard or on walks. Jumping for joy for walks, Sully is happy on the leash and a very good walker. A lover like his brother, Sully is happy taking in the sun or curling up next to you for a morning snooze or afternoon nap. He loves mealtime (snack time, too!) and very patiently waits until the doggie dinner bell rings!

Story
Meet Princess, a 3-year-old Chihuahua with a royal flair and a heart as big as her title! This Spanish-speaking seorita came to us with her two sisters, Catrina and Fluffy, after her previous human could no longer care for them due to health issues. Princess is a little queen who gets along well with other pups and might even grace a cat with her friendship. She's looking for a patient palace with adults or older children where she can relax and let her charming personality shine. Princess would do wonderfully solo or alongside one (or both!) of her sisters for company. If you're ready to roll out the red carpet and make her feel like royalty, Princess is more than ready to rule your heart!November 3, 2024, 2:04 pm
