Story
*COURTESY POST* Jeffrey is a very special little boy who deserves a very special home, who will pamper him and spoil him, and can provide for his medication necessities. Jeffrey was rescued from the shelter after being given just hours to live as he was vocalizing and the shelter could not figure out why. He needed more care than they could offer. A rescue organization immediately stepped in to save his life. The very first night, they ended up at the hospital to have him checked out. As they could not find any answers as his diagnostics look normal he then went to a neurologist and specialist where he underwent more bloodwork, X-rays an MRI and CT scan. His results showed his growth plates are not fully closed, primarily in his neck, which was causing him great discomfort. His results also revealed he has hypothyroidism. Now that Jeffrey is on pain medication and thyroid medicine, his rescue says he’s a whole new dog! As he does have medical needs, his new parent(s) will need to financially be able to continue long term pain management and thyroid meds. Jeffrey is approximately 7 years old and weighs just 5 lbs. His rescue says he’s potty trained with a routine, cuddly and affectionate with his people, but can be comically spicy with strangers though can do no harm as he has little to no teeth. If you can offer Jeffrey the life he deserves and are searching for a cute little buddy with tons of personality, please reach out to be connected with his rescue.

Story
💖 Meet Andy Pandy – Your Valentine’s Day Lovebug! 💖 This Valentine’s Day, a little pup named Panda—affectionately called Andy Pandy by his friends—is looking for a forever love to call his own. Once abandoned in the middle of the night, left in a crate at the shelter gate, his journey hasn’t been easy. But just like a true romantic, his heart remains open, and his love shines as brightly as a box of chocolates on February 14th. Andy Pandy is a sweetheart through and through—at 6 lbs 12 oz, full of joy, energy, and cuddles! Whether it’s a fun adventure outdoors or snuggling up for a cozy movie night, he’s ready to be the perfect partner. He knows when to play and when to relax, making him an ideal companion for any love-filled home. This charming little guy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and even had a dental cleaning to keep his smile sparkling! Though he has a heart murmur that is managed with medication, it doesn’t slow him down one bit. With regular check-ups and lots of love, he’s ready to be someone’s Valentine every single day. Andy Pandy would thrive as a solo pup or with other furry friends his size. He’d do well in a home with older, respectful children who understand his gentle nature. He’s pee pad and potty trained, crate trained, food motivated, and eager to learn. Plus, he walks beautifully on a leash—perfect for romantic strolls through the neighborhood. This Valentine’s Day, Andy Pandy isn’t just hoping for a home—he’s hoping for your home. Could you be his perfect match? 💌 Please Note: Due to home introductions being part of the adoption process, applications are currently only being accepted from those in or near North County, San Diego, California. Click the Adoption Application button below his bio on the rescue website and one of our adoption counselors will help Andy Pandy find the love he’s been waiting for! ❤️🐾 Here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/13533

Story
Meet Maribel – A Senior Sweetheart Ready for a Love That Lasts ❤️🐾 Maribel may be small, but she has a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to cherish her. Found as a stray in early January 2025, she arrived at the shelter terrified and withdrawn, suffering from joint pain, dental issues, and the confusion of being 90% deaf in an overwhelming world. The shelter knew Maribel needed a special rescue to help her heal and trust again, and with the help of big-hearted transporters, she made the long journey to us. Since her arrival, this little lady has blossomed in ways we never could have imagined! Her joint pain has eased with supplements and a healthy diet, and as her comfort grows, so does her sweet, affectionate nature. At first, Maribel kept her distance, but now? She’s seeking out gentle affection, giving the tiniest of kisses, and showing glimpses of the loyal, loving companion she longs to be. Her reactivity and avoidance were simply her way of protecting herself from pain and surprise touches, but now that she feels safe, she’s learning to trust. 💘 Maribel’s Perfect Love Story: 🐾 Independent but Loving – Like a cat, she enjoys cuddles on her terms and prefers to keep all four paws on the floor when bonding with her favorite person. 🐾 A Gentle Touch – Due to her hearing loss, she can be touch-sensitive, so she needs a home where her space is respected and she’s given a heads-up before being picked up. 🐾 A Peaceful Environment – She will thrive as an only pet in a quiet home without young kids or cats, where she can relax and enjoy life at her own pace. 🐾 Freedom to Enjoy Life – She loves to go outside, run around, and soak in the fresh air, but she needs a safe, enclosed space to explore without worry. 🐾 A Love That Lasts – Spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccines, and scheduled for a dental on 2/5/25, Maribel is ready for her forever home and all the love it brings. Maribel isn’t looking for a fairytale romance—she’s looking for something even better: a patient, understanding person who will love her for who she is. Could you be the one to give Maribel the happily ever after she truly deserves? 💌 If you think you and Maribel are a perfect match, click the Adoption Application button below the bio on the rescue website. One of our adoption counselors will be in touch to help you take the next step. Here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/13552 💕 PLEASE NOTE: 📍 We can only accept applications from interested adopters in or near San Diego County, California. 🚗 Due to our home introduction process, we are unable to place Maribel in homes outside this area at this time. Maribel is ready to write the next chapter of her love story—will you be the one to make it a happy ending? ❤️🐾

Story
Hi, my name is Alexandra, and I’m a tiny 2-month-old Chihuahua mix with a big personality! I weigh just a few pounds, but my heart is full of love and energy. I’m playful, curious, and always ready to explore new things. My favorite activities include chasing after toys, snuggling in warm blankets, and giving lots of puppy kisses. I’m still learning about the world, so I’m working on things like house training and leash walking. I’m looking for a forever home with someone who has patience, love, and plenty of time for cuddles. Could that be you? Let’s start our adventure together! Please fill out an application if you’re interested.
