****ADOPTION APPLICATION HERE*** Hi, my name is Domino. I’m an eight week old Chihuahua mix who was rescued from a very bad house with my mom and dad and four siblings. Things were pretty rough with not a lot of love and attention, but now we are in a warm and wonderful place and looking for our forever homes. I’m a very friendly, loving and playful boy, who loves playing with my sisters but I can’t wait to find my new family. My weight is around 5 pounds but I will stay a small doggie. To find out more information on this dog please apply to adopt on our website at http://www.caretx.org/adopt and CARE will be in touch with you ASAP! This dog was rescued from a kill shelter or the streets and has been evaluated for medical and temperament to prepare for a forever home and is in a foster home in San Antonio, Texas* and is ready to fly to its final destination once adopted. The adoption fee of $995 covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, kennel it travels in, and air transport*. Please email adoptions@caretx.org or call Harry 210-269-8380 * CARE rescue is in San Antonio, TX where we have a serious pet overpopulation situation. Story
Life’s just fetching with Finn! Hi, pals! My name is Philly, but you can call me Finn. I’m a fun-loving cuddle bug with unwavering loyalty. I’m a 2-year-old, 18-pound, Chi mix. I’m neutered and I’m a healthy little dude. I was rescued as a puppy but since my family had a human baby and I’m not comfortable around small children, I am looking for a new home that can truly love me furever! I am looking for an understanding individual or family that will allow me to thrive in a new, safe and loving home that gives me encouragement and allows me to show off my best self- the best boy! I’m an active fella who adores frisbee, swimming at the dog beach, and playing fetch all day, every day! I get along with dogs of all kinds but I can get protective over my toys. I also get along with cats! I do well kids (10+ years old) who are respectful of my boundaries. Even though I love having fun, I’m also a big fan of cuddles and pets. I adore my people and make sure to show you my affection. I’m a very good boy who is crate, bathroom, and leash trained… score! I can be a little fearful of new men and may take a bit of time to warm up before I feel totally comfortable. I can resource guard my food/toys and need to work on my sharing. I can get a bit anxious in new settings but with consistency and routine, my confidence will flourish. I do have an independent streak where I do things on my own, but I love a call out and I will come for belly rubs. If you’re looking for an adorable fella to be your bestie, look no further! I’d do best in an active home with teenagers (if any). If younger, as long as they respect my space and leave my toys alone, we will be chums! I would be fine with dogs too. I’d benefit from more positive reinforcement training and a solid routine. So what do you say? I’m a fun, spunky guy who will keep you on your toes and keep your heart full! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/   ##1060291##

Story
Age: 5 Months Old Gender: Male Breed: Chihuahua Mix Weight: 10 lbs Personality: Dill was found with a broken leg on the streets of Tijuana. Dill is really a bundle of joy! Dill is an energetic, playful puppy who brings a lot of fun wherever he goes. He’s always ready for a game or a snuggle. Education: Working on bathroom and leash training. Will need puppy lessons. Favorite Activities: Playing with toys and foster siblings, cuddling. Looking for: Dill would thrive in an active home where his people can spend plenty of time with him, as he does get a bit anxious when left alone. He’s friendly with other dogs and cats, making him a great fit for a multi-pet household. He hasn’t met kids yet, but his playful and social personality suggests he’d be kid friendly. Story
My husband got her for me earlier this year and she is our other dogs companion. But our space is too small and our schedules too busy to keep them. She was born on New Year’s Day 2024. Very energetic and needs lots of chew toys. She loves wood so having wooden toys can really solve her chewing problems. In my eyes she’s still a baby that wants lots of love.

Story
Remi was given to us by a client who had found her, she was very small and sweet and has stayed that way. She loves to cuddle, knows how to fetch and enjoys taking walks in the sun. We are sadly having to relocate to my home country of England and cannot afford the shipping costs to take Remi with us. We love Remi dearly and want her to go to a home where she can snuggle in blankets and cuddle up with someone who gives back the love she gives out. She is crate and potty trained but will occasionally have accidents in the house if she is left too long without a bathroom break (tiny bladder) Remi is around 9 months old and would thrive if she had another dog to play with or an owner with lots of time to play fetch with her tiny toys!

Story
Meet Minnie!  She was seen being tossed from a vehicle in a rural part of the county.  No one could find her and assumed her dead in an area thick with predators (owls, coyotes and cats of all sizes).  Days later she popped up, frightened and ran if anyone approached.  After reports of repeated sightings she was humanely trapped and her new life began.  No owner came claim to her so she went to foster where she decompressed and started to learn about love.  She was under a year old and clearly knew little of human touch or kindness.  After several months she learned to trust, walk on leash, bond and love.  Due to foster circumstances her time there had to terminate and she has continued her journey on site at the rescue facility.  After a year she tugs the heart strings of all volunteers with her sad dopey eyes, desperate need to love and be safe.  She loves. her "normal".  She is always eager to go on her walks and does great with those she can trust.  She struggles with new people but is eager to please, treat motivated and warms up quickly if you go slow and let her lead.  She wants to snuggle.  Pillows are her favorite spot in bed.  She wants to be your shadow.  Despite her fear of people she is happy to go on adventures and enjoys her time in the company of those that make her feel safe.  She can be around dogs but does not share so can't live with other pets because she guards her stuff and people with animals (NOT people).  She has the little dog complex and no fear when taking on an animal challenge, which for sure is how she survived her time amidst the wilderness.  She continues to work on her world bravery with pack walks and outings but has done her time and is due for her home.  She has recurring cherry eye on both sides.  One has already been addressed surgically but came back.  Vet recommendation is to leave it alone if surgery did not cure and it presents no discomfort or irritation.  It comes and goes and does not bother her.  Vet's words were it looks worse to us than it feels to her.  Can you be patient, love unconditionally, have no expectations other than a deep soul connection?  If so, this girl is for you. Flight Risk: do not leave unattended in a yard, crate training is a must when you are gone, tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures. Must be aware of open doors and windows.  Can NEVER be offleash in unfenced areas for life.To adopt: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/37765/genericTo foster: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/37764/genericEmail: awayhomefordogs@gmail.com ##1318876##
