Story
Meet Wallace and Gromit, an incredibly bonded pair who have been inseparable since the moment they came to our Sanctuary. These sweet boys share a special bond, and we are hoping to find a forever home where they can continue to stay together in a safe, loving environment. Wallace and Gromit are a bit on the shy side, and it may take some time for them to trust new people. But with a little patience and a tasty treat, they’ll start to warm up and show you the wonderful companions they truly are. Once they feel comfortable, they are both easygoing and gentle dogs who will bring so much quiet joy to your home. If you have a calm, patient environment and the love to help them build their trust, Wallace and Gromit will repay you with loyalty and affection. These sweet boys deserve a loving home to call their own, where they can continue to grow together in peace and happiness. Please call 707-459-4900 to schedule an appointment.

Story
Judy is an 8 years old chihuahua mix girl. Notes from her foster: Judy has been through a lot. When found, she had: fleas, enlarged mammary glands, patches of missing fur, bleeding paws/nail beds, and large scabs across her entire body. Despite all of her emotional and physical traumas, she's had a remarkable rehabilitative journey! From cowering and quiet to confident and communicative! She's even grown a lot of her hair back and is softer than ever! More recently, she's begun communicating (especially when she wants food), and she's been coming out of her shell more and more each day. While her physical ailments are mostly recovered, she can still be really sensitive around certain parts of her body - mainly her paws, ears, and when putting on a harness. As a warning, she communicates her discomfort by yelping, baring her teeth, and sometimes nipping. But don't let this discourage you! At heart, she is a sweet, tender, and loving little girl who deserves all the love in the world. When bonded with her human, she can be incredibly trusting and affectionate. She loves to burrow and cuddle all day and all night. She very much gets along with other small dogs and mainly keeps to herself - and once comfortable - can even occasionally cuddle up with other dogs. Judy is also potty trained to go outside and communicates when she wants to go out. Due to her calm and loving nature, she is generally low maintenance with very few needs. A private backyard area is recommended for easy access for potty breaks. For someone who is gentle, affectionate, attentive, loving, and patient - Judy can be the perfect dog. Her main likes include: eating, sitting in the sun, cuddling, napping, burrowing, short walks (with a collar, not harness), being carried in a sling, and being bathed weekly. Her dislikes include: putting on a harness, getting her nails trimmed, going to the vet, and dogs on the street. (9/2024)

Story
Irene is a sweet girl with a big heart in a giant world. She is very shy and gets easily scared. She will need a family that can move slow and approach with ease. Irene is very sweet and needs a loving home that can give her the feeling of security, and lots of love. She is a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle. Notes from her foster: We're the foster family for Irene and want to report that she is doing GREAT! We've had for about 3 months and she is overcoming her shyness. We took her Cesar Chavez Park the other day and she was running, chasing us, and sniffing other doggies. Seems to like kids. Very much a cuddler and likes ear scratches and tummy rubs. She has some separation anxiety so we try not to leave her alone in house for any more than 3-4 hours. (1/2025) Please apply if you would to meet this sweet girl.

Story
Meghan and her sisters, Missy, Ariana, and Kim were found abandoned in a pile of garbage when they were just weeks old.  They were taken into foster to grow up healthy and happy with proper nutrition and good veterinary care.  When they come to us as babies, they grow to be good-natured, playful, happy and sweet used to interacting with people and other dogs at the foster's house, they generally interact well with people and different sized dogs.  We are naming our pups after musical artists and this girl is named after Meghan Trainor because she is sassy and funny, but it's possible we should have named her Taylor because she's rather 'delicate' in appearance.   She is 11 months old and 11.2  lbs currently.  We think she is a Chihuahua mixed with .... a longer legged dog, like an Italian Greyhound maybe?  We are often not sure of lineage but we think that she will is almost fully grown.  She is sweet and lovely, quite friendly.  She really likes people and other dogs.  She sleeps on a dog bed with the other dogs and is pad trained at the foster's house.  We ask that you forgive the blurry tail photos - it never stops wagging.   All our dogs will come to you spayed and fully vetted. Please fill out our adoption application form at https://www.4dogsfarmrescue.org/adoption ##1704959##

Story
Banter is an adorable 5 year old male Pomeranian mix, playful, easygoing, and is good with other dogs. He loves to wrestle and play tug of war with toys with a 2 year old Milo alum that he is being fostered with. He is also good with an older female large pointer mix he is being fostered with. Banter is house-trained, settles well in a crate, walks well on leash, and respond to his name as well as a couple basic commands. He is sweet and very affectionate, and likes to sit by his foster mom when she's working. Banter can be a little nervous, although has settled nicely over the three weeks he has been in foster. He warms up to people quickly and will be a great buddy for adventures. He is very treat motivated, gentle taking treats from your hand, and loves frequent walks. An adult only home or home with older kids is recommended as he can be a little mouthy.
