Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd from 12-3pm or until adopted. If you would like the first opportunity to adopt, please fill out an application to be considered.   Adoption Fee: $600   Not sure if you're 100% ready for adoption? Plenty is an option for Foster To Adopt for a few days.   Plenty is a 1 year old Chihuahua x Italian Greyhound mix ready to show the world that Chihuahuas are the best dogs ever! Plenty came to our rescue with her sister, Good (for Licorice lovers you know this candy is the best). This gal has plenty of amazing qualities we will tell you all about further down the page, but trust us the list is neverending! Plenty has the biggest Dumbo ears ever and her heart is the same size! This lovely lady promises to make your life one of happiness with a side of Plenty of snuggles      Plenty is a friendly and loving little lady who can make any place her castle! She settled into her foster home quickly and befriended the resident dog. She loves stuffed toys with squeakers and would be thrilled to discover a toy box full of plushies in her forever home. Plenty is so loving and is the perfect pup for anyone seeking a constant companion. She’s happy to do whatever you want to do. Whether the agenda has cuddles, walks, or playtime on it, she’s down for it all! Plenty is also the perfect level of independent. If you need her to, she can keep herself occupied, but as soon as you’re done, she’s ready for more cuddles! Plenty is the best companion for a movie marathon as she will curl up on your lap and help you eat the snacks! Plenty loves her walks and adventures but also loves her naps. She’s pretty much down to model her day after whatever you need from her. How perfect! Plenty’s dream home is a family ready to show her all the love and affection she deserves. She loves lounging and cuddling but also loves hitting the block and trotting around the neighborhood. She’s totally up for it all! We know our gal has Plenty of adventures in her future!  Plenty wakes up around 8 AM and goes on her first walk for a potty break. She loves to sniff all the flowers and greet the neighbors. She tends to graze at her food throughout the day so she has constant access to kibble and water in the kitchen. During the day, Plenty loves to lounge on the soft surfaces in the house, often hopping from couch to bed to living room floor to get the best naps. In the evening, Plenty goes out on her long walk once the weather cools off. Once she returns, she cuddles with her foster mom on the couch as she watches TV and gets all the best cuddles. She goes out for one last potty and then curls up in her foster mom’s bed and drifts off to sleep.  Plenty gets along fabulously with her foster sibling and loves getting her zoomies out. She would be a great companion dog! She also loves humans of all ages. Plenty walks well on her harness and leash combo. Plenty is crate trained and potty trained. According to her foster, Plenty is one of her favorite foster pups of all time (but you didn’t hear it from us)! She has Plenty of love to give and she can’t wait to show you how amazing she is!      Plenty is an option for just about any home, regardless of prior dog owning experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.December 17, 2024, 5:07 am

Story
If you want a fun sidekick, with the cutest forehead wrinkles, the longest little legs and a nose for adventure, meet Dot! Dot was the tiniest pup in her litter but she made her presence known! Dot was born under a shed to a very sweet abandoned mama chihuahua mix who did a good job of keeping her little babies safe and warm. When mama and her 2 week old puppies were discovered, we brought them to safety where they were raised in a loving foster home. Dot is a confident girl, who loves to learn, is super motivated for treats and its just hard not to look at her and smile or laugh at her antics. She might be a good candidate for agility as she has lots of energy and likes to explore! She loves her walks and we are working on her leash manners. Dot will need a watchful eye as she likes to adventure. Once the wiggles are out, Dot is a world class snuggler and is super affectionate. Dot is crate trained and potty trained in her foster home but as with any new situation, dogs/puppies will have accidents and there will be adjustment period as they learn their new environment.

Tripod #Tripawd #Tripaw &#226&#173&#144&#239&#184&#143 Adopt Jackson, The Cutest Tripod &#226&#173&#144&#239&#184&#143 Lovingly called Jack, Jack is an 18-pound, 3-year-old dog. DNA test pending. Jack is eager to learn and is currently in a board-and-train program. He is crate and potty-trained. He is currently learning basic manners, commands, and socializing while living with a trainer in a home with her two dogs and a cat. Jack has had a difficult and challenging journey. He was surrendered to Every Pet's Dream Rescue in great pain. His backstory is unknown. Our vets did everything they could to help him, but unfortunately, after his first surgery failed, his back leg had to be amputated. Jack can be vocal at times when startled and was most likely not socialized as a puppy. He is currently working on these fears. While at the rescue, Jack learned to adapt as an amputee, his new living situation with several other dogs and a cat. While here, he became besties with two little rescue dogs. Jack is energetic, likes to play with little dogs, loves to play fetch, go for short walks, and settle in on the couch for a cuddle or snuggle. Jack loves the simple things in life, like belly rubs, ear scratches, lots of stuffed toys, and people. Jack would do best as an only dog or a home with a small, playful dog. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Jack is a sweet, loyal, and loving companion. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Jack is searching for a foster home or foster-to-adopt when he graduates from training at the end of the year. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 If you're looking for a new best friend, Jack might be the dog for you! Story
Leia is a friendly, full-of-personality dog who loves attention and loves to explore. Energy Level?  Medium/Low House trained?  Yes, mostly Describe how they are on leash?  Leia is mostly fantastic on a leash--she can bark at other dogs, and prefers a sniff walk (i.e very slow exploration) over a walk for exercise. Describe how they are with other dogs?  She needs to take a bit of time to relax around new dogs. She is a bit bossy and would not do well with dogs that will not back off if she needs space. Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  She does not appear to have been around cats too much. Commands they know?  Sit What are their favorite things?  Leia loves attention. She loves her sniff walks and cuddling up on the couch with a person. What do they need to work on?  Leia would benefit from more basic training (like come, stay, etc.). She can also be overly anxious when meeting new dogs. In addition, she can resource-guard her toys (or anything she deems as hers, like a stray sock or one of her jackets or blankets). How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  She can be anxious when left alone, even with other dogs. She might whine for a bit and scratch the door. I have left her alone for 6 to 7 hours at a time so far. Where do they sleep?  She sleeps in a dog bed or a crate. What is their ideal home?  Leia's perfect home would be where she gets a lot of attention (or at least can be close to her human when they are home). She loves going for slow sniff walks every day or a few times a day. She is delightful and loving but likes being the boss with other dogs. Her ideal home would not have dogs who are too 'in her face', but she does get along well with calm dogs after a proper slow introduction. November 5, 2024, 12:10 am

Crackerjack weighs 10 pounds and is just the most handsome dude in the entire world if you ask us! Crackerjack is so excited to meet you and start his fabulous second chapter.    Crackerjack is a silly, handsome dude with a huge personality and a smile that melts even the iciest heart! He loves giving hugs and is always ready to kiss your cheek if you bend down for a cuddle. Jack is super sweet and knows just how handsome he is, always strutting around the yard with his coat gleaming in the sunlight. Jack would be a fabulous WFH companion, as he knows how to kick back and relax as you do your Zoom calls. When you’re ready for an adventure though, Crackerjack is waiting by the door with a wagging tail and a smile on his face. He loves exploring the world around him and can’t wait to check off items on his bucket list with his new people. Crackerjack loves cuddling and is happiest when he can sit in your lap as you cuddle or watch a movie together. He’s a perfect gentleman! Crackerjack is such a sweet boy who has so much love to give the world. He’s the perfect ten!  Crackerjack wakes up at 7 AM and goes right outside for a potty break and some zoomies. He gets breakfast at 8 AM and then spends some time playing with his toys. Crackerjack has random bursts of energy throughout the day, but overall he loves to lounge around and hang with his people. He’s a great WFH companion as well as a fabulous playmate for the resident dogs. Crackerjack gets dinner at 5 PM and then zooms around in the living room with his toys for a few more hours. He goes out for one last potty and then goes into his crate for the night around 10 PM. Crackerjack currently lives with a resident dog and they love to romp around in the yard together. Crackerjack is working on his potty training as well as general training and is making good progress. He would thrive in a home prepared to give him the structure he needs to blossom. He has endless love to give and we can’t wait to watch him change your life! Come and pick up some Crackerjack of your own!      Crackerjack is an option for homes with prior dog owning experience. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.December 20, 2024, 2:08 pm
