Story
Minnie is an 8yr. old 'Chug'. She is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and happiest in a calm home where she can relax near her people all day. She loves to play, snuggle up on your lap and sleep under the covers for as long as possible. She has been with us for 6 yrs. but our home situation has changed and we need to find her a new loving home. Minnie is VERY food motivated, and treats are the quickest way to win her heart. Once she trusts you, she becomes deeply loving and devoted. Like many Chihuahuas, Minnie does have some fear/anxiety issues. She can be nervous around strangers and reactive toward other dogs, especially larger ones. Slow introductions, patience, and MANY TREATS help tremendously. Because of this, she would do best in a quieter adult home with someone experienced with small anxious dogs.Minnie is healthy, vaccinated, funny, snuggly, and full of personality. We love her deeply and want to find a home where she feels safe, understood, and adored

Story
I got Ash from. A neighbor because he would always sneak over to play with my dog who's quite larger, a Pit/Rottweiler mix but as time has gone by they no longer get along and have even fought which has caused me to now keep them separated at all times throughout the day to keep him safe. Unfortunate with my busy schedule and having to make sure they now get out at different times instead of having free range together Ash unfortunately ends up spending more time in his crate or bedroom more than usual or that I would like for him because he loves to run around the house and be taken out for walks. I also noticed he's beginning to "mark his territory" inside the house which is unusual! I want to rehome him to a safe home with someone who loves dogs and is able to let him be free and walk or doesn't have big dogs in the house where he can feel safe. It's hurting me to let him go especially since he was basically abandoned by my neighbors but his safety and happiness is more important!

Story
Peter is a tiny 7.6 lb chihuahua. He was shut down and shy when he arrived, but has blossomed in his foster home. He takes a moment to warm up to people, but bonds deeply once he does and wants nothing more than to be a lap dog. He does great with his foster sibling and has been gaining confidence every day!

Story
Oz is a 12-pound sweetheart with a gentle, easygoing nature. He may be a little nervous at first, but he’s incredibly sweet and truly just wants a cozy lap and a person to bond with. His favorite things are napping and cuddling, and he’d be a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm, low-key companion. Because he can be sensitive, Oz would do best in a quiet, predictable home. An energetic or chaotic environment—whether that’s busy humans or a high-energy dog—would likely overwhelm him. A calm resident dog could be a great influence, or he’d also be happy as your one-and-only. With a little time, a routine-based approach (and a lot of love), we think Oz will come out of his shell and really settle in within a week or two. He’s decent on leash but can get nervous and may stop to take things in—this should improve as his confidence grows. He is currently working on his house training and will need a patient adopter to help him stay consistent. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving little companion to share your couch and your heart, Oz might be your guy.

Story
Twelve-pound Xander is an affectionate guy who is really coming out of his shell in his loving foster home. He bonds quickly and enjoys playing with other small dogs and with toys. His house-training is coming along, and he does fine with cats. Xander is gaining confidence out and about in the world and walks well on leash. He has a medium energy level and does great with a couple of walks a day. Xander would make a great companion for someone who can continue to help him build confidence and trust that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place. (NS)
