Since being with me, I have seen Wallace and Gromit go from being so fearful of everything to being curious and loving doggies. Wallace is the the most scared compared to Gromit, but he loves being around my dog Dahlia and hanging out with me when I watch tv. He's so sweet and gentle, and deserves to go to a home where he can continue to come out of his shell. Gromit loves his snuggles in front of the fireplace. His favorite activities are hanging out in the sun and playing with his toys. Both Wallace and Gromit have grown quite fond of my big dog Dahlia. The three love playing together and going on in my front yard to bird watch. I'm sad that I have to give them back, but I can't wait for them to come out of their shells and be loving and trusting doggies. I know the family they go to will love them and be patient with them as they start the next chapter in their life." One of two shy brothers who came up from Bakersfield, though were not at all adoption candidates, Basically close to feral upon arrival - they had been trapped.... poor little guys, never had the kindness or comforts of a loving home, or caring people. Baxter is a people's dog! Here's what one of our wonderful volunteers had to say about him after a hike! "I took Baxter out for a hike today with my dog and he was great on leash. He is excellent with other dogs, non reactive and played well with my dog on the beach. He is friendly and comes over to you if you crouch down and took treats. He was noticeably nervous getting in and out of the car, but was fine once we got going. He definitely needs some confidence building in changing environments but is a great size guy and will make a great addition to an experienced dog owner home."

Irene is a sweet girl with a big heart in a giant world. She is very shy and gets easily scared. She will need a family that can move slow and approach with ease. Irene is very sweet and needs a loving home that can give her the feeling of security, and lots of love. She is a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle. Notes from her foster: We're the foster family for Irene and want to report that she is doing GREAT! We've had for about 3 months and she is overcoming her shyness. We took her Cesar Chavez Park the other day and she was running, chasing us, and sniffing other doggies. Seems to like kids. Very much a cuddler and likes ear scratches and tummy rubs. She has some separation anxiety so we try not to leave her alone in house for any more than 3-4 hours. (1/2025) Please apply if you would to meet this sweet girl.

Meet sweetest little Pablo! A happy, loving, active pup. He has a birth defect but that does not affect his ability to get around. His back leg remains bent due to a joint issue. Pablo is great with other dogs and loves playtime! He is happiest with a canine buddy around. He can run up and down stairs without any issues. Loves playing fetch! He also enjoys his walks and has good leash manners for being a puppy. Pablo is crate trained and sleeps through the night. He’s right now thriving in a loving foster home with other dogs and children. Can you open your home to this sweet boy? He needs a home with people who can provide socialization and consistent training, and ideally a playmate. If you add this little happy pup to your household you'll have non stop entertainment and lots of lovin'!
