Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonded Pair - ChipHoney is an approximately 1.5 year-old, 18 pound best of all breeds, AKA a mutt. Sweet Honey was found in a field with a group of 6 pups, including her friend, Chip.  Honey is an extraordinarily sweet dog. She is so affectionate, she seeks out physical contact as much as possible, preferably on your lap or chest. When she’s feeling playful, she loves to play fetch or play with squeaky toys. When it comes to any activity, she follows Chip's lead. Otherwise, she’s cuddled up with her humans. Honey came to SVPP very shut down, but once we placed her with Chip, she followed his lead and started to relax and trust. Ideally, she will be adopted with Chip. His presence and example of curiosity allows her to feel safe and be curious too. If he’s not around, she hides and can be timid. Under our veterinarian's guidance, Honey started anti-anxiety medication a few months ago and it has helped her tremendously. Adopter will need to continue this medication and work with their veterinary partner to monitor Honey's medication needs. Unexpected movements and loud noises may scare them, so she and Chip would do best in a home with no young children or other dogs unless well monitored.  Do you have the time and patience to help them continue to learn what it feels like to be safe, relaxed and loved? Please fill out an application today! Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject SVPP thanks Alec Khanna photography for assistance in taking photos of our adoptable pets.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 7:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bonded Pair - HoneyChip is a 9 pound, 2 year old Chihuahua with a big personality. This tiny boy was found in a field with a group of 6 dogs, including his friend, Honey, who is being fostered with him. He is a goofy, silly boy who constantly makes his foster family laugh. In addition to being exceptionally handsome, Chip is very intelligent and is quick to learn new skills.  Once he feels comfortable, he is so affectionate. He loves cuddles and scritches and will lick your face clean if you let him. He is also a little instigator, his family jokingly calls him Dennis the Menace. When asked how it is having Chip as a foster pup, his foster mom replied, "I can’t say enough about how fun it is to have him around!" Honey and Chip are very close and help each other to be brave, so we are hoping to place them together. They love to lay in the sun and lounge around in their foster Mom's office when she is working from home. Unexpected movements and loud noises may scare them, so they would do best in a home with no young children or other dogs unless well monitored.  Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetproject Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 7:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Puppy! Dot is a 10lb, spayed, 7 month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix puppy.  If you want a fun sidekick, with the cutest forehead wrinkles, the longest little legs and a nose for adventure, meet Dot! Dot was the tiniest pup in her litter but she made sure she found her breakfast, lunch and dinner squeezing in between her larger littermates. Dot was born under a shed to a very sweet abandoned mama chihuahua mix who did a good job of keeping her little babies safe and warm. When mama and her 2 week old puppies were discovered, they were brought to safety where they were raised in a loving foster home. Dot is a confident girl, who loves to learn, is super motivated for treats and its just hard not to look at her and smile or laugh at her antics. She might be a good candidate for agility as she has lots of energy and likes to explore! She loves her walks and we are working on her leash manners. Dot will need a watchful eye as she likes to adventure.  Once the wiggles are out, Dot is a world class snuggler and is super affectionate. Dot is crate trained and potty trained in her foster home but as with any new situation, dogs/puppies will have accidents and there will be adjustment period as they learn their new environment. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   This is a Courtesy Listing. Dot is being f ostered in Sunnyvale. Email  K9reunite@gmail.com  or complete an adoption application for more info. Adoption fee $400.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 11, 2024, 4:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sweet Puppy!Ruth is a 10lb, spayed, 7 month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix.  If you are a gentle patient and understanding human, then Ruth is your girl! Ruth was born under a shed to a very sweet abandoned mama chihuahua mix who did a good job of keeping her little pups safe and warm. When mama and 2 week old puppies were discovered, we brought them to safety where they were raised in a loving foster home. Ruth is incredibly cute, sugar sweet, super shy but gaining confidence day by day. She thrives on reassurance and positive praise. Ruth is super treat motivated. She loves belly rubs! Ruth gets pretty excited about her "sniffari" walks, loves her toys and chewies.  Her ideal family will be sensitive to her need to "go VERY slow and steady" and she could benefit from having a calm gentle dog to build her confidence and guide her. She likes to watch before doing and will stare right into your soul. Ruth is crate trained and potty trained in her foster home but as with any new situation, dogs/puppies will have accidents as they learn their new environment and there will be an adjustment period. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Available for Foster to AdoptBaby is a 16 month-old Chihuahua. She is not yet spayed and needs crate rest to recover after being hit by a car and suffering pelvic fractures. We would love to place her into a loving, foster to adopt home so she can settle in with her family while recovering. Despite her injuries and forced rest, Baby's sparkling personality shines for her family! She does well with her 4-legged foster siblings, including a small dog and 2 cats! During her brief outings outside her crate, she loves to snuggle on foster mom's lap and would love to be able to play. While she does not like being in the crate, she does need this time to allow her body to properly heal. Baby's foster mom tells us, "She is such a sweet baby girl and absolutely loves people. I hope her new parents are very patient, loving and love taking her everywhere after she heals." All medications and vet care are provided by SVPP while Baby recovers. Once she has healed and can be spayed, the adoption will be completed after her spay surgery. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm, vaccinated (including rabies, if age appropriate) and microchipped.   Adoption fees for dogs: http://www.svpetproject.org/info/adoption Stay up-to-date on what our dogs are up to by following us on Facebook!  https://www.facebook.com/svpetprojectVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 18, 2024, 1:08 pm
