He has a very sweet and lovable personality, but is a little shy in the beginning. With a little patience he warms up quickly though and is very affectionate. Recently thought he got diagnosed with diabetes and needs two insulin shots a day. He is doing very good with them and can live comfortably with it if properly monitored. He is very quiet and mellow and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person or family.Tom is about 9 years old, neutered, vaccinated had a dental. The were left behind when their drug addicted owner got evicted. He had them tied up in a dark room of the house with our food or water. They were rescued by a kind neighbor who had too many dogs already at her place and couldn't keep them. She contacted us and fortunately space had just opened and we couldn't say no. Simba is very shy and fearful but super sweet and gentle. He will warm up to TLC and loves to be held. He needs a person that will understand his shy personality and can give him a quiet home and patience. He is about 6 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. I rescued him from a family that was taking him to a high kill shelter, I didn’t want that to happen. I have been trying to find him a loving home for over a year with no luck. I have 3 big dogs over 100 pounds so I can not keep him. I do not want to give him to just anyone. He is high energy, needs attention as Chihuahuas do. He is a love bug but does not like being alone. He is not fully potty trained but when he goes outside frequently, he will not soil in the house. I want him to be loved and cared for, I refuse to take him to the shelter as and rescues I have reached out to have no openings. Only inquire if you are serious about making the life long commitment. He is skeptical of other people so it will take him time to warm up to you. He will try and run until he gets used to you. My daughter is his main caretaker, and she was with him due to doing online schooling, now she works long hours so I want him to be with someone that will give him the attention he needs.

Petunia is a survivor. This girl was found cowering from a crow in an empty dirt lot that run along 30th street west and Avenue M. She is about 10 years old, but has the energy of a puppy. She's a foodie, that loves to cuddle, run, and play fetch. She has a favorite bone, a favorite blanket and a favorite fetching stick. Petunia loves to love, and I think she could bring alot of light and companion ship to anyone looking for unyielding friendship and love. Petunia deserves a good home. She grew up in a house with 4 other dogs, that were much older than she. They have all passed of old age. She loves to go on walks, is potty trained to go outside and use the restroom.

This sassy, fun-loving 8-year-old chihuahua lived in a home, then another home, then was surrendered to the Castaic shelter, where she was scared, struggling, and unfortunately given the “rescue only” tag, which means a rescue had to pull her. Since she has been here with us, she is doing great. She is unbelievably athletic, smart, and quite affectionate. She struggles with other dogs, so we are working with her on that. She is an absolute love and would make a wonderful companion. We do require visits here to our rescue in Agua Dulce (Santa Clarita), CA, and in-person home checks for all adoptions. Moe(#A5641979) found himself at the Castaic Shelter as a stray in August before we welcomed him here. His estimated age is 14. He lives here at The Ranch with: 🐾Clarence, Frank, Spice, Scotty, Dixie, and Larry🐾 (other littles) He couldn’t care less about going for a walk, keeps his space here super tidy, and just wants a quiet and peaceful home to live out his golden days.
