He has a very sweet and lovable personality, but is a little shy in the beginning. With a little patience he warms up quickly though and is very affectionate. Recently thought he got diagnosed with diabetes and needs two insulin shots a day. He is doing very good with them and can live comfortably with it if properly monitored. He is very quiet and mellow and will make a wonderful addition to a loving person or family.Tom is about 9 years old, neutered, vaccinated had a dental. The were left behind when their drug addicted owner got evicted. He had them tied up in a dark room of the house with our food or water. They were rescued by a kind neighbor who had too many dogs already at her place and couldn't keep them. She contacted us and fortunately space had just opened and we couldn't say no. Simba is very shy and fearful but super sweet and gentle. He will warm up to TLC and loves to be held. He needs a person that will understand his shy personality and can give him a quiet home and patience. He is about 6 years old and weighs about 12 pounds. She is incredibly sweet and self confident and loves to play with her friend Babe.She gets along great with all the dogs and even gets along with cats and has perfect leash manners. Sadie is one of those happy go lucky kind of dogs that have no issues and they are hard to find. She is an itty bitty little thing, weighing just 7 pounds, but has lots of personality. You would never know that she is 14, even the vet said that if he hadn't been told her age he would have guessed her age at around 7. Her teeth were in horrible shape though, they probably had never been cleaned and she had 17 teeth removed, but otherwise she is in excellent health. She is all healed now and full of life and happy energy and has bonded very deeply with me and wants to be and go wherever I go and gets a little anxious when she feels like she is being left behind. She is a cuddle bug and likes to snuggle under the blanket at night. The other dogs here don't bother her at all and she gets along wonderful with all of them. She would make a lonely heart very happy with her gentle and loving disposition,.She is spayed, up to date on all her shots and microchipped. He loves walks with whoever will take him, keeps his room neat as a pin, and likes to cuddle and snuggle. Because we require visits here to our rescue and home checks, adoptions are limited to the Los Angeles, Ca area.

This sassy, fun-loving 8-year-old chihuahua lived in a home, then another home, then was surrendered to the Castaic shelter, where she was scared, struggling, and unfortunately given the “rescue only” tag, which means a rescue had to pull her. Since she has been here with us, she is doing great. She is unbelievably athletic, smart, and quite affectionate. She struggles with other dogs, so we are working with her on that. She is an absolute love and would make a wonderful companion. We do require visits here to our rescue in Agua Dulce (Santa Clarita), CA, and in-person home checks for all adoptions. Moe(#A5641979) found himself at the Castaic Shelter as a stray in August before we welcomed him here. His estimated age is 14. He lives here at The Ranch with: 🐾Clarence, Frank, Spice, Scotty, Dixie, and Larry🐾 (other littles) He couldn’t care less about going for a walk, keeps his space here super tidy, and just wants a quiet and peaceful home to live out his golden days.
